I started out with reason and logic.
Posts like every rorschachparadox post has just been, "Oh conspiracy theory tinfoil hat lol you're dumb"
After weeks of this, I'm sick of it. Nothing it getting done except a few of you towing the party line and shutting down reasonable complaints. So yes, now I'm ranting. And you know what? It doesn't matter. It was just said nobody reads these threads. So I can rant all I want, nothing is going to change.
If the rants keep up, you are right. All I will do is unsubscribe to the thread and forget it even exists. And I am far from the only one.
It does, I'm glad you agree and can respect other people's opinions. You do realize that you're no better than me in this argument. Your sarcasm and rage is no better than mine. So sir, welcome to the internet, where nobody wins because everyone else is stupid.
I have no rage on this matter but I'll match my sarcasm against any man's!
I would consider it a "win", not only for myself but for the Realms in general, if we could accept that an RA can make an descision that we don;t agree with without necessarily being corrupt, inept, incompetent or dishonest.

If there's no lie, that means someone wasn't clear on the process, and that person would be TechG0d, which then implies that there's something wrong with the official process, which is also a problem. There's no logical reasoning that doesn't involve major problems involving this.
If TechG0d made some sort of mistake, then why did GD back him on it?
Personally, I'd settle for a little more complaining about the ruling and a WHOLE LOT LESS personal attacks, comparisons to abusive relationships and assorted tinfoil hat conspiracy bull####.
That a fair enough answer for you?
Sure. I can see how "when you reveal" might cause confusion with timing and theme teams, except it was cleared up in 2011 with Noh-Varr: http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showth...light=noh-varr It is the very first thing you do, even before you roll for the map.
Given that, I would like to know who or what prompted the re-visit to the issue. We know it didn't come from game design, it was pushed up to them, so who was the first to bring it up, and why?
Second, I would like to know how it was determined which figures would get the "when you build" wording and which would get the "on your first turn" wording. I hope it wasn't to "fix" characters that seemed too good, because in the realm of broken things in this game these pieces barely register.
Third, I would like to know why game design, or whoever proposed the final wording to game design, thinks this will improve the game. It can't be for streamlining, because they've just created several figures that can no longer be played correctly out of the box, and require reference to the errata. They've also created two different possible erratas for the pieces, meaning it's not just "rule A now means B" which can be remembered pretty easily, but you have to know which ruling applies to each individual piece. And those pieces that got the "on your first turn" wording- you still need to remember to declare your keyword, they just moved when.
Bottom line, the ruling seems like a solution in search of a problem, and makes the game a little more complicated while neutering a couple of pieces that people liked to play. I think it's ill conceived, and I'd like to know why it came to be.

Then leave.
I am shocked, though, that, while ignoring the specifics of the figs involved, the process of the whole thing isn't concerning to Heroclix fans, never mind that the RA has admitted to not following the source material.
(If you were coming up with a superhero miniatures game, I guarantee it wouldn't even occur to you that your RA not knowing the source material would be just fine.)
The process and how it played out is of concern to me as a heroclix fan. If this thread gathers more people who also have concerns about the state of the game, great.
If people would rather just read threads about how amazing the latest non-playtested stuff is, that's fine too.

I could care less if the RA has extensive comic book knowledge. He isn't designing the game, only helping to interpret the rules and hopefully make them better.
Now if Game Design didn't do their homework, then I would have a big problem and would likely have quit playing years ago. Remember the debacle that was the Batgirl from Cosmic Justice? The Cassie Cain sculpt with the lame Barbara Gordon dial? If that kind of thing happened more often, I would no longer be a HeroClix player. But fortunately Game Design gets it right most of the time these days. At least I think they do.

I can't answer any of those questions.
I don't think WK will.
For me, I am content to abide by the rules of the game as laid down by the creators of that game. They've made changes that I've disliked in the past. I have voiced objections to those changes without being spiteful or malicious. And, at least once, I have had those changes undone. (The whole "Wildcards can not loan combat values" thing from a few years back).
This ruling, however, will NOT be undone. Not now. To do so now would be reinforcing the idea that rants and personal attacks are the right way to effect change. Change this ruling now and every single time an unpopular ruling comes down (and ALL rulings are unpopular to someone) people will rage in hopes of changing them again.
