Well, if you KO the rest of the opposing force the game would end because they wouldn't have any active figures. But yes, that's basically the idea.
Thank you very much for that. But how do you get points for that opposing character then if they're still piloting your vehicle and they have no one left on their force. Or do you not get any points for that character.

In a case like this, we'll say Possession since this pilot thing is definitely a no-no, no points are scored for the off-the-map figure since it was not defeated.

I've been saying that I've expect the ruling to be that it will be disallowed.
Consider that to be confirmed.
Something will be added to a future PG along the lines of:
"A Figure must begin the game on the same force as the Vehicle he is to Pilot."
Excellent. Do we have reason to hope for the "hop behind the wheel and don't turn my resource" trick to be disallowed as well?
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
Do you mean something like: "If an action is taken that would otherwise cause a Resource Roll, the Roll must occur."
You can probably expect that, too.
Again, these will be in a FUTURE PG, so if you don't see it in the next PG, that doesn't mean it isn't coming.
Sounds good. Maybe not the next one, though?

So if I went to a tournament this month these things would still be allowed, though?
There's going to be a more official announcement posted sometime in the next day or so.
You know with certainty how it is intended to be played. If you wish to deviate from that because it hasn't been published into an official document, that's between you, your conscience, and your judge.
Me? I would play as I know it should be played and not be a dink.

I think you are assuming too much. I was actually just wondering if I can expect to play against it at Costa Mesa for the HROC qualifier in 2 weeks. My team doesn't even have a vehicle on it.....

Well, it's gong to be up to the judge. I'd check with him, maybe direct him to this (or the future) thread mentioning it.
Adding to my house rules until it's official. Although I've had the vehicle MC thing as a house rule for about 4 months now, I'll add the resource ruling...
... so no more of the Angry Batman tricks for jwb441.
We will note these two things in our ROC tournament:
1. Can't MC an opposing guy into your own vehicle
2. Must roll the resource dial at the end of the turn, even if somehow they are removed from the game.
We will go by the intent of the powers, and since it will be coming in the next PG, we might as well adhere to the ruling now.
