The books are far superior, though the show wasn't bad. I did like the show's versions of Morgan and Bob. The deviations from the books got to be a bit too much for me, though.
Not sure if I like Harry Dresden or John Taylor from the Nightside series better. I'll have to read the rest of the Dresden files (currently starting book 3) before making any judgments.

We were all excited and the dang poster looked very plausible. Oh well, we'll at least get some of those movies.
I'm surprised that the Ravnica mafia game actually WORKED. It sounds like people had fun with it, and there are things I'll need to tweak before my next game.

OK, so back from the weekend and picked up the TPB for the 1st 5 issues of Afterlife With Archie, plus also read issue #6. The series is frickin awesome in a big way. I have been reading Archie comics off and on since I was a kid, and I have never seen them give these characters an "adult take" like they have now. The only comparison that I would make to The Walking Dead is the zombie apocalypse scenario. Otherwise it seems to be its own brand of horror.
The closest I would come to describing the series is that this is what Watchmen may have felt like if they had used the old Charlton heroes for the characters instead of creating new ones. It's a solid read and the artwork fits the overall ghoulish theme. I give AwA a solid recommendation and have already put it on my monthly saver list - as well as the upcoming Sabrina title.
And that is all I have to say about that.

On a separate note, just bought my 3-day weekend pass to the Baltimore Comic Con. Anyone from the Mafia group gonna be there? I am about 45 mins. from Baltimore, so I intend to drive in and out.

Dude! You should totally go. Malakim2099 might fly in and crash at my place, so we could all meet up at the con.

It is definitely a possibility!
Have to see how things are going... and frankly, I'm looking at selling many many things I have here that I no longer use, gaming wise. I think I can get a fair amount for them.

Well, I am sure that when you sell your many, many SDCC exclusive B/W Lantern Packs at $100 a pop, you'll have more than enough money to go to BCC!
(Btw, I am looking to get back some of the stuff that I had to sell during the time that I was unemployed, so send me a "sell" list when you put one together!)
Oh - and in case I have failed to mention it, GenCon is out of the picture for me this year. I didn't get the volunteer gig and this means that I can't afford to go. Which is why Baltimore is a whole lot more do-able.

I'm no neckbeard! But if you'd rather just shoot me a list of what you're looking for, I can dig around for it. Frankly, a lot of stuff I'm probably going to just part with here.
