I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
Was tinkering around with upgrades of the Units section. You can now do searches of just "Your Collection". Now its easy to see what figures you have are a certain Keyword. Especially the pre stat card ones.
For instance, came up with this Spy Keyword team:
Skrull Ms. Marvel
Nick Fury - SI
+ Inside Information
Winter Soldier
+ Vendetta
Logan - MM LE
SHIELD Agent - Veteran x2
Gabriel Jones
+ Contingency Plan
500pts
And they're all 616 Marvel too. Huh. Wonder if that will ever come in handy?
Again I am amazed on the quality of Human Being I have met through my Mod contests. The winner of this one was Zero_Cochrane (Watchmen team) who is from Australia. The Last winner was Stevenrogers who is from the Philippines. Zero asked me to send one of the 5 LE's I'm sending him to Goldeeh who came in 2nd (Silverhawks team)! He is sharing his prize with his Judge who did not get a full set of FF LE's. Steven is an Envoy who gave out the figs as prizes at his venue! I find it comforting that we share the Realms with these quality people.
On a side note, both of these guys live IN OTHER COUNTRIES!!! Says alot for America!
Please do not take offense to this! We have good people here in Vegas too!

I don't think it's just other countries. I think a lot of the American judges on the realms are quite giving. Darius Dax is one of the first ones that comes to mind. And then there's this guy in Vegas who offered a mod as a special prize. It was a sweet Cosmic Spider-Man. I think Clix tends to bring out the best in people who want to see the game they love prosper.

My primary gift item was a tin Batmobile circa 1972 with bump-n-go action still in the original box.
All three of our sons were home and that was great. My oldest is living in Minneapolis at the moment. He told me about a comic shop selling two Batman clix for ridiculous prices - you know, the one on the lamp post and the one with his chest sticking way out. He has them priced at $32 and $15 respectively. I told him to go back when he returned to the tundra and buy them for me - late Christmas gift. Jonathan does not play, but he does collect certain figures - Joker in particular - so I gave him a Clown Prince of Crime. Apparently, they don't know very much about clix there because the store owner told him he could only get the CPOC by buying a case.
Hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas.

Oh yeah, forgot to tell you that since he does not play, the shop owner sold him a booster of AA for $1 and he pulled a SR "guy with a black flying saucer head". He was hoping to pull Batman (Beyond), so I gave him one.

Is that a tin Batmobile, or a tin Futrellmobile?

That's great that all 3 were there. I'm not looking forward to the days when my kids are grown and may not be able to make it home for the holidays.
