You're saying the way you play here is too aggressive for over there? I'm surprised, if so, considering how much complaining goes on from people who play at other sites saying how we do it all wrong here.
Over here, a day phase is usually one day. Over there? At least a week. I want to say more like two, three weeks.
So after an initial chatting up of players and analyzing their messages, I'm ready to get down to pressuring someone and from there, I'm ready to get down to lynching someone.
Everybody else? Content to talk for weeks about metagame and whatnot.
But then I come back here and I'm trying to hold off and learn more before I vote but oops the day phase is over.
You just can't play both at once. The styles are counterproductive.

*takes mod hat off*
This is probably why so many of us were confused by Mortal Kombat mafia.
Seriously, a 1-3 week long day phase would kill my interest in a game fast. It would lead to so much frustration, I would just leave. How many games are run a year on that format? 2?
What is ridiculous about my "theory"? Rokk continues to say he's Mags/Xavier. I see it as a classic Rokk-quirk.
His entire defense is that his mason partner wasn't showing up.
The only thing I don't like about the claim, is that I can see Rokk saying that he's Magneto and Xavier (since he was given the other guy's role) and then after the game is over if it's revealed that he's Onslaught, him arguing that Onslaught is Maneto and Xavier so he was true to his TAK clause. Cause doesn't he claim to never lie about character claiming? Isn't that of his whole TAKyness (no pun intended)?

That's because I keep getting asked to mentor players who don't show up. It's gotten bothersome, so I complain.
However, again, you're figuring that I went and created an entirely different account so I could go sign up for the game?
I don't think that's what he was saying. When you start putting words in people's mouths, it makes me uneasy about you like you are hiding something.

But you're also claiming you were given his character/role as an extra life. Just enough for you to finagle your way at arguing that you were true to your TAK clause after the game.

Again very defensive play when you don't even have any pressure on you. Can no one question you and still not be scum?

So I guess there's something to that.
It's as equally ridiculous as bashing the TAK because most players don't know how to properly use it.
There is no justification for the TAK, nor even the suggestion that there is a way to "properly use it." That's just admitting that it is a tool, thus giving players who use it an unfair advantage (or disadvantage) as the situation may be.

I simply believe that you possibly saw an opening of a non-posting player, and complained immediately that you had a mason partner not posting. Again, a completely unwarranted complaint for day one, in my opinion.
All we have is your word that you and psn were masons. It's quite possible that you are mafia and chose to Janitor him, just to lay this whole Magneto/Xavier claim.
You completely ignoring the idea and focusing on something I never even said... THAT is what has stalled a weekend day.
I agree with this. Especially since IIRC this is not the first time that Rokk claims Mason partner who got his partner's results as a parting gift (though that is not exactly what he's saying here, but he did imply that for a bit).

Besides, let's say I'm Xavier. You feel he's the Mafia?
Know what was somewhat damning for you DF? That you knew I was Magneto and not Charles (i.e. - your earlier comment about the Brotherhood).
How would you have known psn's ID?
I don't know that it's damning. I too figured you'd be Mags. Didn't you post somewhere that he's either one of your favorite characters or one of your favorite clix from this set?

May as well drop a claim. No reason a scummer can't have that restriction... See MBauers as Congorilla in that other game where he was scum.

Yeah a vague insufficient hint. Who are you?

Completely agree.

I believe Rokk's claim. I think these arguments against him are ridiculous. And it's precisely because I find it ridiculous that I'm not voting for Darq. He tends to be a bit(how can I put this delicately) narrow-mindedly obtuse at times, and usually that's when he's town.
Here is something I don't get, why isn't Rokk claiming which one he is? If his mason partner was truly janitored, then the mafia would know who he is by elimination. Why not tell the town?
The janitor doesn't always find out who the janitored person was. But I'm having a hard time figuring out why he wouldn't say myself. Unless he feels saying who he is will give a clue as to what his power might be at this point.

That's true, but I would say more often than not they do get the name.

I did claim who I was, back when I thought DF was dropping a hint to me that he knew I was Magneto (a misinterpretation - he said he was dropping a hint that he was Brotherhood). I admitted I'm Magneto and psn was Xavier (which should also answer your questions, Stan).
The other thing I'll ask Stan is: you need to make a plank and have both a hammer and a saw. You use the right tool for the job, correct? Nothing wrong with keeping both tools around though in case you need to make a final clean split with that hammer. That's why Truth is perfectly legit to use in a Game of Lying.
After all, the only game that matters is the Game of Thrones and we know everything is fair there.

Plus it's just lazy. Rather than making arguments or pointing out evidence of your townieness, you just say "I don't ever lie" which keeps you from having to play the game well.
