Agreed, but again if you've played extensively against Thanos you're aware that a Quintessence figure with a long range and phasing is, odds are, better at repositioning than you. Time you take to base Darkseid is time you're not attacking too, and his fodder is.

Okay, but "holds up in a competitive environment" and "what he is capable of in comics" are nearly mutually exclusive. They are not complementary goals, anyway, at least on someone his size, because to do what he can do in comics he should be like 600 points and something that size is by definition never going to be in a competitive environment at all.

I like my SR Loki's chances against Darkseid. In a 400 point game (which is what we mostly play) I think Loki wins every time. But then, I often think that Loki could win every time.

That's just what Loki wants you to think. Really, he has his ulterior motives.

I agree. But super rare Loki is possibly my second favorite figure of all time. Agreed that I like his chances against most things. Loki with Mjolnir remains one of the most hilarious 'Clix experiences I've ever encountered.

Alright, someone go to the Mafia Chat thread and tell me I'm not crazy here. I don't even need back-up, just...PLEASE tell me I'm not crazy.
If what you're talking about is, as I gathered from skimming a couple of posts, the merits of Avatar, you're not crazy. Avatar is not an enjoyable movie by any of my standards. I have spent without exaggeration a dozen or more other hours of my life talking about Avatar, which is way more than it deserves, and no one has ever convinced me that it's not trashy. I don't begrudge people enjoyment of it, but I WILL NOT be told that it's objectively a good movie.

Truth. Spoken perfectly.
In fact, most of the most competitive pieces are by far the least comic accurate (i.e. Nightcrawler).
I like this Darkseid. I know he will be much tougher to take down than most are giving him credit for. And I know many people malign the loss of the Outwit+Perplex SP, but his starting attack and damage values are both +1 higher anyway. And the bonus to be able to push and be unoutwittable is a good tradeoff.
That and having both the CR version and this new version will give you plenty of variety when deciding your team builds.
