Thanks guys! Thats funny, I have the Avengers on DVD and the only special on it I recall is director commentary (which wasn't nearly as fun as I thought it would be). I'll have to track that Tiem 47 down, as Sitwell is a boss in the comics. Can't say I've watched Shield yet (waiting for Netflix, I don't get TV) but I've not heard a single good thing about it yet.
Agents of SHIELD is undeserving of 90% of the criticism it gets. Most people that I see lambaste it are people expecting all superheroes when it was announced going into the show that it was going to delve into the day-to-day of SHIELD and its agents. For that, it's done a great job. It's also been excellent at tying in movie stuff (Sif was in a recent episode) and there's been more than enough name dropping to set the stage for some future awesomeness.

Oh god, but the writing - the writing! - has been truly depressing. Too much of characters bumbling around and doing things just because they need to advance the story. The story logic on that show is pretty tortured. They're getting better, but even in the lauded train episode before the Olympic break, the plot was kind of a tangled mess of coincidences and bad decisions.
Agreed, I had been enjoying the show. Unfortunately, past tense, because I had been watching online and now ABC requires one to verify their cable provider, of which I have none. So no more Agents for me, for now.
City of Heroes: @MsNightingale
SHS Online: Incredible Cosmic Shield
despite the odious lack of avengers kw that would've put 012 cap over the top I still really want him. hopefully that will keep his secondary market cost lower
he's got a great dial and an intermediary point value so that you can flex out more than 100 pts for cap without having to drop 2 bills on the avx

Dangit, I want all of those Target exclusives!
Inspiring Presence: Captain America and Bucky can use Leadership. Friendly characters within 8 squares that share a keyword with Captain America and Bucky can use Willpower.
cap & bucky are both friendly to themselves and always within 8 squares. they only don't have wp on their last 2 clicks
so that's 5/7 vs . still less, but not that bad, especially considering their ridiculous

I just got my starter set today and noticed that none of the cards have their real names on the back. Is that something new that they are doing or is it just me? Also do the main set cards have the real name on it? I have yet to get any figures.

Yeah. I've pretty much stopped watching it since the holidays. Annoying super-hacker showing up the super spy organization at (nearly) every turn. Everyone with two X chromosomes having romantic tension with Ward. And just generally lackluster stories that are sitting on the shoulders of uninteresting characters.
I've noticed that defenders of the show nearly always use this line:

Except that's not my complaint. Nor is it a complaint that I actually see being made very often. I'm sure those complaints exist, this is the internet after all, but I don't think those complaints are nearly as common as the show defenders proclaim.

Yeah. I like him a lot too! Someone just handed him to me at an event last night and I look forward to playing him.
The lack of Avengers Keyword does really sting, though. I'll still play him on Avengers teams, of course. You can't tell me what constitutes a "theme", WK! (Well, I suppose you can, but I don't have to agree!) But the lack of Avengers keyword means no ATAs and less utility from his Leadership power.
Yeah, I know that this is supposed to be WWII Cap and hence the accuracy of no Avengers keyword, but you'd never know that was supposed to be the case if it weren't for the names of the powers and keywords. The dial seems perfectly reasonable for a modern day Cap.

The show Almost Human is much better.
And it has no "superheroes".
Just better characters, better plots, better writing, on and on . . .
That hacker on SHIELD is super cute though.
I would like to see her after dark.

hulu is an amazing thing
Oh good call, I didn't read as clearly as I had thought!
And yes, Hulu is a very very good thing. Clix night prevents me from seeing Arrow live.

I almost quit then and can't blame you. It has gotten much better. I wanted, and thankfully have received more action and super powers, less inane Skye saves the world BS.
