The funny part about this statement is that you are insinuating that the people you're arguing with right now are pros or high-level players, which is actually quite hilarious when you put "pro" and "mike" or "rian" together. Well I'd think that the people who write for Metagame would be top-level players, or at least top-level deckbuilders, or at least people with something more interesting to say than what I see written on VSU. From reading his articles, Rian doesn't look like a pro, but he writes for Metagame, which makes me think he must have some quality about him that UDE likes, and I hope that they'd choose people who are good at the game to write for them over average-joe-player.

Well, it's not the problem. Even if you were to take away Phantom, mxy, soul world and slaughter swamp (to a lesser extent), Frankie is still degenerate, especially in some decks. Her power is what makes her ridiculous. The other cards just make the ridiculousness stand out more.

I'm not quite sure why...without Phantom, she can't give ridiculous card advantage. Without Mxy, she doesn't give ANY card advantage. If you play her for free, she gives you 2 for 3 card DISADVANTAGE. Granted, card quality is important too, but you only get 2 cards of quality advantage, the same as you'd get with any random search location like Worthington Industries or Willworld, and those locations are repetitive, unlike Frankie which is a one-off. Care to explain?

There's gotta be a joke between:

* Aruging about how fair The Phantom Stranger is.
* People being pissed at work.
* Having to do TPS reports.

Again, card advantage in Vs. has much more to do with quality than quantity. Willworld and WI are much more limited in their ability to improve your hand...and are really only usable once per turn. The "random search" factor of Frankie is much more useful because you get to combine the cards with your hand and then discard the least desireable. Willworld or WI won't get you a PT or location...even if it's there.

This is significantly more advantageous than the examples you provided. It's closer to Birthing Chamber than those...which is also a powerful card (but much more limited...especially now without the good Dr.).
