DAMN. I love that song. Young me wore it like a badge of honor. Old me finds it difficult not to weep during it. Life's funny, isn't it?
Goodbye Stranger is a classic. Life is indeed funny, my example is how my taste buds have changed over the years. I used to hate mustard, avocado, and asparagus, now they are staples of my diet. I detest raw tomato but will eat pico de gallo and salsa, go figure.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've seen the Violent Femmes 3 times. I don't know what to say, other than their music dramatically changed my perspective of music in general for the rest of my life. Game changer for me.

Their music is awesome! Kiss Off is one of my all-time favorite songs.
Ironically though, Marilyn Manson was the artist that single handedly changed my outlook on life and helped me through some dark ####. So whenever anyone ever asks who my favorite artist of all time, he’s who I will always say.
What, am I normal or not?
Am I crazier than other patients?
Right, I've done everything right.
So where's the karma, doc? I've lost my patience.

I've seen him a couple of times, as well, awesome stage presence when I saw him. One time, when I still worked in food and service, I went to see him with a 70 year old dishwasher who enjoyed his shows.

So, you guys and your spamming tons of songs for each letter, I can't keep up.
If anyone else is like me and struggling to find time to listen to all of these songs, I made this ongoing playlist. Some songs I could not add to it. About 3 songs I think. For some reason adding them to a playlist was not an option. An example would be that Queen/Misfits/Cartoon song.
Bro, I saw Marilyn Manson at the EF October 30, 1996. It was hot as balls. I swear I got the flu on the train ride home because it was freezing outside that night and we left soaking wet. Good times, good times.
Saw Pink Floyd outdoors at Legion Field in early May 1994. It was probably a very sunny 75 when we arrived at what was clearly a party, bikinis, booze other substances everywhere. When the concert ended it was maybe 50F and foggy. People were freezing by the time it ended, my future wife and I had looked weird carrying in light jackets but I had looked at the forecast. We were still cold, even with jackets.

Make sure you watch the TNG movies first, it deals directly with issues raised in Nemesis as well as the destruction of Romulus revealed in the first reboot movie.
Seen all the movies before the Kelvin stuff except for Nemesis, it is on the list, I will probably re-watch all of TNG movies and Nemesis before Pikard.
Ghost Love Score - Nightwish (Note: the album version had a different singer and did not sound good at all. This live version is phenomenal!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYjIlHWBAVo
Carry That Weight - The Beatles. Very funny (as a response to what I said).
Darling Nikki - Foo Fighters. It was ok. Didn't really bring anything to make it stand out from the original.
Devil's Carriage - Elvenking. Nothing really stood out about this. Just kinda generic. Sounds a little dated, like it came out in the late 80s/early 90s.
Dig Up Her Bones - Misfits. I've never been a big fan of the Misfits, but this song was enjoyable.
Dr. Worm - They Might Be Giants. That was kinda weird, but the horns were nice.
Down Rodeo - RATM. A classic. Love it. Can jam it all day. Why can't music today be less political like this?
Doin' Time - Sublime. A chill classic. As I said earlier, I really like Lana Del Rey's cover. While she doesn't add anything new to the song, her voice is so dreamy is just goes with the groove so well.

That Floyd tour was epic, my brother camped out overnight, to be at the front of the ticketmaster line, so we could get those tickets months in advance! They played at Veterans Stadium in Philly June 2-4, 1994. Still to this day, it is the biggest stadium concert I've ever been to, 60,000+ people, sold out for three days. 2 things I still distinctly remember about that concert, the pigs popping out of the stage and a giant disco ball that rose out of the floor seats.
Of the 2 Slipknot songs, I enjoy Gematria more than Gehenna. But, Gehenna may show more depth for Slipknot as musicians. Clutch, my go to favorite band, nuff said.
