Okay, I don't usually post this kind of stuff, so take this for what it's worth:
Is Parasite overcosted?
I'm no stats and numbers guy, but it just seems like a high cost for what he's got.
Borderline. A lot of his value is in the fact that unlike a lot of other figures in his boat he can steal (almost) ANY standard power, including Hypersonic Speed and Impervious. So if you look at that dial and put Hypersonic or Impervious on every click, or maybe Flurry or Psychic Blast, it looks pretty good. And above and beyond that, he can theoretically steal different things for different situations. Flurry to run in and hit for six, Willpower to get in another hit without pushing, Poison to get in some damage while pushed out, and then Hypersonic to get away... Potentially pretty crazy.
So if he has good stuff to steal, he won't be overcosted. If he's in a situation where he can't get close enough to take anything or there's nothing good to take, he's not great. His stats are high enough though that he'll never be completely dead on the board.

Side note: I'm off to see They Might Be Giants on Friday, and the opening act is Jonathan "Still Alive" Coulton! Yay! More jazzed to see him than I am TMBG, truth be told (this'll be the 3rd time seeing them - wife's a huge fan).
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?

I didn't like them when I heard them on Radiolab. All of my friends seem to like them, though. These are the things that I know about that band.

I think it will depend on who you play with him and who you're going against. It made me think of Morlun from WoS. Morlun can be a beast, but he can also be a point sink. It's nice that Parasite has essentially a full dial of steal energy and outwit (within 5 squares), but I also feel that he is going to get severely out-shined in this set.
(Working in a little Realms time while waiting for a sample to cool.)
I appreciate the relative simplicity of the new Parasite -- no one is likely to deny it's the most playable one of the three attempts -- and I like the way it links directly to an Outwit... but is this how the character is these days? He chooses one and only one specific power at a time?
I look at it and imagine him going after the veteran version of the new Superman, and I find myself wondering if given the combination of actions he's likely to copy anything but Impervious if it's showing? Outwit Impervious, move in to make the attack, then have that through the opponent's turn.
I don't mind paying a bit more for the combination of certainty and nullification, but it does seem a little too narrow.

I'd say (ESPECIALLY in the case of that Superman) that the best move might be to Outwit his Hypersonic Speed, take a gamble on hitting through his Impervious, then book it. Depends on who's backing him up, I guess.

I see a lot of people comparing Parasite to Gideon and saying that he's overcosted. Keep in mind that Gideon has to make a die roll to copy powers. Plus, I don't think his is tied to outwit. Parasite unfortunately can't borrow from teammates, but he can outwit a character and instantly borrow that power (WITH NO FEEDBACK DAMAGE!!!! F I N A L L Y!!!!)
