So as of right now, I take it the mess with a mind controlled character becoming a pilot hasn't been ruled on
It's been ruled on, but the supporting documentation hasn't been done yet. I think we've seen a definitive response from the Rules Gang that this is going to be prohibited. There is not yet text in the PG to prevent it, so you can either play it as it reads or as we've been told it's intended to work. Locally we instituted a house rule to require the pilot to have started friendly to your force.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

What's to prohibit you waste the free action to make someone a pilot ACTION OVER and control of that figure reverts back to the owner because ALL game effects end when a charactor leaves the map.
Does the mind controlled charactor leave the map? You bet he does.

I'm sorry, I don't know what you're trying to ask or what point you're trying to make here.

Currently you do not, but harpua has said that is going to eventually be changed. However it has not been officially changed yet. Take that for what you will.
In this case eventually means 'next available Player's Guide.' I am personally aiming for the May PG for this fix. We hope to be able to meet that mark but the backup will be the June PG.

It actually has been ruled on. The ruling, however, spawned another related discussion. I would like to have those discussions nailed down prior to releasing our wording. Parapharsing here: our fix is to say that a Pilot must begin the game on the same force as the vehicle he intends to pilot. To answer the next inevitable question: yes, we took sideline into consideration. :-)

Any action you give a character via Mind Control will end After Action. This includes Free actions such as Perplex, Outwit, or even becoming the Pilot as a Free Action.
Now, we have been told that Becoming a Pilot will be changed to state that the character must begin on your your team.

So has it been answered if you roll for resources if they are within 6 squares of Catwoman that stops resources?

Rpgambit is correct. However, the basic idea we are going with is that if a character who is assigned a resource takes an action that would normally require a resource roll ,that roll MUST be made. EX: Batman wearing the UB is on UB click 4 and bases Catwoman. He concludes his action and must roll for the resource dial because he took an action that requires a roll. Same dynamic for becoming a pilot after taking an action but before the end of the turn.
Did that help?

I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
