Actually those snippets were me gradually disengaging from a conversation with someone who intentionally or unintentionally being obtuse. I suppose discussing whether or not I'm a troll is better than the other pointless debate going on. Although, I can't see how it would be interesting

I played you in round 3 and I just wanted to say what a pleasure I had playing against you. I not only enjoyed our game but our conversations were A+. By far the most enjoyable and memorable round all weekend.

No, you were the one being intentionally obtuse. I think you KNOW that trying to contact a company about an issue to resolve it is not remotely close to vandalsim, yet you cotinued to try to argue that it is anyway.

And if you really want to disengage, all you have to do is quit posting on the topic. Continuing to post bad arguments is the exact opposite of disengaging.

I get the impression that he is a "last person to post wins" type of guy. Therefore, if he can't continue the actual discussion he will post nonsense until you stop posting, making him think he has "won". Its not really disengaging, its just getting the last word in.

I put him on my ignore list because I was sick of his trolling on another thread. My forum viewing experience has much improved.

"Vandalism" might not be the exact right word, but spamming a marketing page isn't far from it, even if the intentions are more noble.

There is no formally accepted term for that, even "spamming" isnt' quite right, because that implies volume. ####posting might be closer, but that's hardly common parlance.

So while we can quibble over definitions, the real point of contention is whether a company has the right to delete posts and ban people (they do) and whether that's cool given they have no good customer service channel (it's not).

From the perspective of the company, vandalism might be an apt analogue, from the customer point of view, it is not. But it's not a ridiculous term to use in this case.
