I'm awake and at home. Electrician was here at 8:00AM this morning since yesterday an outlet caught on fire in the room where I dump all my gaming stuff in an embarrassing horder's heap.

Turns out the outlet was installed improperly with exposed copper wire and when I went to plug in a window AC unit in the room the pressure of me pushing in the outlet caused a metal on metal contact lighting the outlet on fire. Luckily I was right there, not burnt, and was able to put the fire out quickly before it did any damage to anything other than the outlet.

My precious clix were saved.

That's still pretty scary.

On a slightly more serious note...

I really need to scale down my collection,especially as I haven't been collecting many of the higher-end pieces recently due to the crappy QC. Nothing like getting a SR Prime and/or Chase with a bad paint job or glue marring the figure when I'm only really displaying pieces instead of playing.

Keeping everything Thor & Cap related,plus a few others,but do I;

offload pretty much all the other Avengers (fringe members inc. the FF & cast plus the sizeable MoE/Thunderbolts collection)

or

have a cut-off point in their roster (pre-Disassembled,so everything Bendis/Hickman/etc. including Spidey & Wolverine plus their related figures,again,a BIG collection)?

If the former,do I then jettison all of SHIELD/HYDRA/AIM,maybe keeping the heads/higher-ups of the organisations & not the generics?

I'd hope that Marvel will restrict their membership in the future but even if this happens there's still too many do just have sitting there. I want to resume having Goldeeh do commissions again to fill in the gaps so I'd rather have customs than official figures.

saw the Killing Joke as part of a regal cinemas fathom event last night.

the first act/the new content/batman and batgirl hooking up was meh and not really necessary to the plot but the rest of it, was pretty good as far as adaptions go.

We might miss just how tragic the story is without seeing Babs get up to various shenanigans.

talking with the guys afterwords and i posited that a kind of montage/flashback of dick and jason dealing with the joker, Dick treayting it as a game, jason being killed, and bruce being more protective of barbara due to what happened to jason and the fact that since her father is a friend he doesn't want to betray that friendship by letting something happen to her etc...

but we got batsex because... i don't know.
