thanks for reminding me of Lord Oren, totally forgot about it (well, not really but I was kinda busy first and then had to wait for proper-ish weather to take him up the hill).
Anyway, he is on his journey again as I will bring the package to the post office within the next hour. Anyone who wants to track the final steps of his journey can do it via https://www.dhl.de/en/privatkunden/p...verfolgen.html , the tracking number is RM 428 428 912 DE
When I got Lord Oren from Ibson, he was accompanied by a humongous amount of nons I was asking for (probably 20-30). Unfortunately I didn't take a picture, thus his heroism goes without further notice *doh*.
I am not a good writer, hence I would rather let the picture speak for itself: Lord Oren overwatchin the Black Forest on the left and the Vosges on the right, preparing for his final trip to another remote, yet utterly familiar kingdom.
And btw, MKD is also alive here in Germany. I found a group which loves to play the game (even if we get killed most of the time before reaching the exit)
Great news, krue! Lord Oren will be weary and utterly transformed by this adventure, but it's so worth it to know that MK fandom remains alive and well all across the world.
I will never be able to hear "Flight of the Valkyries" again without picturing your first image of Lord Ore-aven.
Very lucky you are to have a local gaming group. I am also fortunate to live near enough to Ibson and another great player that we can still game (relatively) consistently. Now that my kids have gotten interested in MKD, we are really on a hot streak -- monthly games for three months in a row. That's about all we can fit in right now b/c they have a lot of extra-curriculars, but there were some dry years after our MK tourney scene shut down so I am super appreciative of this opportunity. (Appropriate for Thanksgiving Day)
Your map pics warm my heart. You use the 3D artifacts set! I rarely get to use mine, but hoping that changes as my kids get more skilled at the game and become ready for bigger challenges.
Thanks for sending Oren back to Haldir. This will make two successful iterations of the MK Escort Service. I look forward to the eventual third.

The Mage Knight version of The Odyssey. Almost 7 years... are we entering the home stretch?
Enter the Champion, Prince By-Tor appears.
To battle for freedom from chains of long years.
The spell has been broken, the Dark Lands are bright.
The wraith of the Necromancer soars away in the night.
