Bro, I saw Marilyn Manson at the EF October 30, 1996. It was hot as balls. I swear I got the flu on the train ride home because it was freezing outside that night and we left soaking wet. Good times, good times.
Also, it was like, one big mosh pit on that first floor. First time I ever punched a dude for copping a feel.
1) I was at that show.
2) My then girlfriend (now ex-wife) was supposed to go with me but the rumors were flying Manson was going to commit suicide on stage around Halloween and she bailed. She suggested I take a friend of her's who also liked Manson then was mad/jealous I went with her roommate.

4) Nobody punched me.
Easy Lover - Collins/Bailey. I remember this song. I thought I would enjoy it more than I did. I like Phil Collins. This song did not age well for me.
Easy - Boys II Men. A nice cover. The Commodores and Faith No More still do it better.
Empower - Downset. Meh. The groove was pretty good, but overall not something that caught my ear.
The Elephant Riders - Clutch. I like the heavy sound, but overall not a song I really want to hear again. Which is too bad, because I really like the title.
Exposure - Peter Gabriel. I already talked about this song, but I like it so much I listened to it again. Still amazing.
Bob Welch/Stevie Nicks - Ebony Eyes. This song was a real letdown for me. Stevie Nicks is my all-time favorite singer. I didn't really like anything about this song, even her background singing bugged me. I will now pretend like it doesn't exist.

How funny is that we were at the same place, at the same, and it took over 20 years to meet?
I’ve seen about 4-5 concerts at the EF and it definitely wasn’t my fave venue. I saw The Breeders at the TLA on South St my one and only time there, same with seeing Bobby Long at the World Cafe Live about 6-7 years ago. Both were venues I’d probably not go out of my way to go to again.
As for Manson, I had bought tickets for his 2004 concert at the Tweeter center, then backed and have them away when the time came because I was pregnant with my first kid at the time. I still regret not going, lol.
What, am I normal or not?
Am I crazier than other patients?
Right, I've done everything right.
So where's the karma, doc? I've lost my patience.

Very odd. I saw the Breeders around that time but not at TLA, maybe at Drexel? And another time at Lollapalooza.
Weird fact, I've been seeing someone for about a year and half that lives on the side street by TLA, so I was in that area regularly. She's been quarantining with me in the burbs since March.
Freedom of Speech - Body Count. I look back on this band, and wonder why they don't hold the same value to me as RATM. I think it's because Zach is just a better rapper, and Rage has better grooves. Body Count is good, but RATM is timeless. This song was ok, but just makes me want to listen to Prophets of Rage.
Father Time - Stratovarius. Pretty good. Very energizing. Not a fan of the chorus, though.
Face of Mars - Lionize. Fun, groovy song. I'm going to listen to this again. It may make my playlist.

Very cool! I live and work in Manayunk, and we’ve had my step-daughter quarantining with us since NASD closed schools back in March. So, I’ve been trying hard not murder anyone, be they kids or customers.

I wish I could get back on the horse.
It seems like I’m always having to kiss butts I would have kicked to kingdom come 11 years ago....
