Ah yes, TRU. That's where I got my Union Jack/Wonder Man exclusives. Had to have it since I collect all things Captain America, Union Jack, and Captain Britain (and Nova...though he doesn't fit the Red, White and Blue scheme).

I found an auction for the TRU exclusive Magik and Warlock. I'm patiently waiting to see how the bidding goes. I may have to jump in and try to steal it at the end

Suga, if you go to White River, or really anywhere between there and Boston, find Newbury Comics. It's a rule that whenever I go in one I have to buy Minimates. And I know where 5 are. Stupid rule, but what are you gonna do?

The Lego one?

Came from Luke's Toy Store (that's also where other wall and danger room dioramas came from). He sells customs and neat decal sets to make customs. He's a fine graphic designer and his site is OK, I just don't care for his customer service (or lack thereof). To be fair, the minimate site I frequent loves him to death (maybe because he's a moderator there, or maybe because he gives them free stuff) so it could just me my issue with him.

My tale: When I first ordered the wall diorama, the site said they were in and would ship in 2-5 business days. A month later I asked what was up because I hadn't heard from him. I got a nice email; "sorry I make these myself and the demand suddenly skyrocketed so I was caught behind. I should have contacted you, they'll go out in the next week." When I got them I was fairly impressed with them. I made a second order getting another set of the walls (trying out some paint on them this time) and got the "training room" too. That order shipped without much issue. The last order I made from him was for the Lego displays. Which are pretty much just legos with backgrounds that Luke designed (each one comes with 5 or so backgrounds some 2-part backgrounds so you can link two displays together). Again, his site said ready to ship and again I waited a month and heard nothing. After inquiring as to the status of my order i got a strangely familiar email, "Sorry I should have emailed you sooner. I make these myself and demand suddenly skyrocketed yadda, yadda."

Withe the walls I could understand, he was making resin molds of the things. But with the Legos, it was just a matter of printing the backgrounds. It became clear to me that Luke was a slacker who would gladly take my money and wait as long as I would allow before actually getting to work on my stuff. That I didn't not care for. If his site were upfront about it, it would be a different story. If he could have been upfront about being a slacker I would have dealt. But him trying to be A SNEAKY $#!+ about it rubbed me the wrong way. So I'll tell people where I got the displays but I won't be picking any more up and I'll share my tale each time I do. Good luck if you opt to go for it.

In my ongoing quest for interesting displays, I happened upon the Stand Tall display system on eBay (they are what the cosmic peeps are standing on in that group photo (just before the 90's X-Force pic). I payed like 20 bucks for a set. The guy waited a week to ship them and threw in half a set for free to say sorry for the wait (I was like, "There was a wait?").

They are light-weight and very sturdy. Each disc can hold a couple of Minimates comfortably and they can be arranged in all kinds of ways.
