Just read the message you sent on my phone. My phone was missing for two weeks and I found it this morning, so it needed a charge. I'll hold the fig for you until we can arrange a meeting.
I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.

Was your phone next to the Geritol, V-i-a-g-r-a and Ginsing (for memory)?

Another issue for Jeff is when does he host the tourneys. The traditional Thursday's are tough becuase of everyone's work schedule/location and trying to get to the Northwest part of town by 5:30pm. Moving it to the weekend you have to contest with the Yu-Gi-Oh crowd and all the kids who are using Oasis in leu of a babysitter.
I only have so much restraint before I smack some kid upside his head.
Well, I'd offer my downtown office space, which would have food, drinks, free covered parking and no crying kids...
But then most wont show up.
If you want to restart clix action, you need to pick a time/place, and everyone who can actually needs to attend...
"And I shall make little coins with my head on them and place them in the thongs of your strippers."
LSOM isn't to bad for me anyway but we should beable to work something out?
maybe we can decide it on a week by week thing or once a month we all get together somewhere for casual games and what not (does not have to be HC me and New Jeff have lots of games and of course munchkin...)
I think at least once a month we should be able to work something where all get a day off together or something.

As far as HeroClix locations / playtimes go, I don't think we're going to get an answer for it. We've been asking the same question for a couple years now. If we knew the answer we would've done it by now.
I can say for me, Clix isn't high up on the life priority list now. Bottom half of top 10, but mainly because it goes along with hanging out with friends. I'm pretty sure it's the same for most everyone else who posts or is in town.
When I want to play, I give Eric or Jeff a call and we play. Easier to fit that into my life schedule than a regular gametime. I guess it's a factor of getting old. I'm not 25 and have a lax job anymore.
If we end up setting something up I would suggest keeping it to Clix only. That is the common game that everyone plays and what brought us all together in the first place. There are other play groups in town for board games or Magic or whatnot.
Also would suggest to keep it as an open play format and not a tournament format. Reason is people want to play different power levels of game. Some may want to play Invitational level, some Tier 2, some lower level keyword, etc. It would avoid having people getting turned off when their Brute keyword team gets worked over by 3 hodgepodge teams during a tourney format.
1) This is fake! Awesome, but fake.
2) Like the Thundercats trailer, its pieced together from existing footage. Anyone else recognize anything (besides the new Star Trek movie Drill Diving footage)? I clicked on the "more info" and saw the list of 29 combined trailers!
3) I love that Nathan Fillion is Hal Jordan!
4) Anything with Ch'p in it is great!
Another step forward...(more news from Topps)
Just a quick follow up to my earlier post. All in all, things are moving surprisingly fast given everything that needs to go into restarting a product line. We’ve made significant progress on the product dev front and are expecting our first samples from China within a week. A set of samples is also being sent to Marvel for approval and we expect they’ll be as impressed as we are (fingers crossed).
We’re still not ready to announce “whats”, “wheres” and “whens” of the project but as soon as I am confident we are on track to hit our targets you’ll be among the first to know.
Everything else is moving forward. More news as I get news worthy things to talk about.

I'm hoping they make a debut appearance at Comic-Con and fill the Wizkids void.

Is everything coming from China now??? My company recently started obtaining Zolpidem (generic for Ambien) from a Chinese manufacturer. The insomniacs weren't too happy about that.
How many Thai children do we have to put out of work before we stop this??? :speechles

Oh, Martha, our Roland has grown up before our very eyes. jk Hey, it happens to the best of us (and me too).
I got a call from a secretary at the airport today. She heard that I collect comic books "just like her younger brother" and she thinks it is great ... (read between the lines) ... that a comic book reader could make it to the top of the airport food chain. I wonder if she knows about the President and Spidey. Never take life too seriously - you'll only get heartburn and eventually die like everyone else (that doesn't read comics or play games).
