I've only looked at the last two pages or so of this thread, but that's no guarantee that there wasn't something official and meaningful said about it earlier on. Maybe the AE mechanic and the colored lines partway through the dial proved to be a coding issue, or perhaps it's just as has been said - time and official manpower being at a minimum. Believe me, I understand being snowed under with work, and while I'm not directly engaged in I.T. work my best friend is, and we work at the same company, so I know how much time and effort can go into just keeping the servers in operating order.
That said, while there are several other things to commend this site - it remains the best and easiest place to pick up the newest info on upcoming Heroclix, to get clarifications on game mechanics and to kick around team builds and strategies - the thing that draws me here most consistently is the Units section. Any time that it stays out of date for very long the usefulness of the site plummets for me. It's the primary reason I became a donor.
It would go a long way if someone just let us know it's being worked on, but the silent treatment from the mods is what's driving me and everybody nuts.

As I've said a few times: if I had more info I'd share it.
Man, remember how long Collateral Damage took to get uploaded to the Units Section? After that, I think I can be patient!
Did that take a while? I was in the hospital at the time, when that released. If I recall correctly, it was up, by the time I got home, March 9th, 2006.
On the up side, I got nearly a whole brick free from that set, from visitors bringing gifts.
But Like i said its more of not liking to do math(even though the units section is not 100% accurate with points) other than that they have what they need available to them, but is to much of a "hassle"
Dumb question would a Volunteer (or group of volunteeres) be helpful since the primary problem is manpower?
There've been several previous volunteers. You can see how much good they've been able to do.
Nothing can be done by anyone except the admins, and they seem to be AWOL. Makes me wonder how much work AZS was doing behind the scenes before he stepped down...I'd guess pretty much everything at this point.

There may be a good reason that modifying the Units section requires Admin access - messing it up may have repercussions across the entire forum. Remember the last time that the Units section went down?

if it's data entry they could give volunteers a spreadsheet or something, export out of the spreadsheet as XML, then import into the units database.
OR as i mentioned earlier in this tread, ask WK/NECA for an XML export out of their database. i bet they would help the realms out. NECA seems to appreciate the level of fan support here for the game.
