Yes. Hush was just a retread of Dark Victory which was just a retread of The Long Halloween. One of the main selling points for all of those stories is the art - though I'm not a big Jim Lee fan. Tim Sale, however, makes some right gorgeous pictures. Regardless, those stories range from mediocre to bad.
What, just because I like Batman, I'm expected to like all Batman stories? That's just silly. I loves me some Dark Knight Returns or Morrison's various runs on Batman or Year One or whatever. I don't love every last bit of drivel that has ever been written about Batman. Most of it is garbage. But the good stuff is good.
Good call on all points. I was just curious as to what the specific gripe(s) was(were). I liked Long Halloween and read all the way through Hush, but it did start to seem like retread. But some people like that. There's a reason House is still on the air. I also don't mindlessly put my stamp of approval on anything Bat-related or Joel Schumaker would still be helming "batman" movies.
Waitaminit. Are you actually saying that you didn't like the Hama run on Batman????!!!!! I personally am holding my breath for that Killer Whale villain in Clix form and cards depicting dialogue that made Eletrawoman and Dyna Girl look like The Bard himself wrote it.
Rep is like sex, if you have to ask for it, you're not going to get it.

I like to think of Jeph Loeb as something similar to Chris Claremont. Except unlike Claremont, who lost his edge after adding Psylocke into everything he makes, Loeb never was part of the greatness of the Dark Phoenix Saga, instead Loeb made Heroes Reborn issues with Rob Liefeld.

I've been wanting a new Deadpool since I started playing. That is downright amazing. Throw in Carnage and Toxin (which there's a fair chance of, being a Spidey themed set and all) and this will be my favorite Marvel set ever.

I would argue Hush and Long Halloween are the same genre, but by no means a retread (I can't comment on Dark Victory, never even heard of it until now). Now, both are among my more favourite stories, so perhaps it's a jaded opinion to which we are entitled to differ upon.
The problem with this poster, in its brilliantly teasing manner, is that it sends us into a Pavlovian craze.

That Goblin sculpt is nice, but still nowhere up to par with the FF one.
It's good to see that my wish for a Norman who AE's into either Goblin or Patriot seems to have come true. Plus, it'll be nice to include Norman on my Thunderbolts teams as Norman, not GG.
Rulk... meh. Can't get thrilled about him, even though it is a badass sculpt.
Doc Ock and Gobby are SR's... that makes me sad. Hate when they do that. Not as bad as the Black Lantern chases though, I guess.
Deadpool better not fricken' be an SR too, or I'll be going all postal on somebody. It'll be good to have a DP with a different point value for more versatility to put together some of those Deadpool Team-Up combos (yes, I don't care what anyone says... I love DP, always have).
Brick Spidey... again, meh. Not a fan of the 4x4 bases on regular sized characters, as I'm sure he's going to be.
Here's hoping for Toxin...
Looks to be an interesting set, for sure.

This may be my pessimism kicking in, but it's impossible to tell if the set is as broken mechanic wise as Brave & Bold was. A few figures may look cool, but any AE figures will have a lack of use, and SRs could be filled with lackbuster Duos again.
I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, and I don't see any problem with getting excited about the new set, but right now we don't have any sign that WoS will be any less of a trainwreck that B&B was.

Of course, always has to be that one poster that attempts to rain on peoples parade.
