Two plumbers in brightly colored outfits, one in red and one in green stand before you, their eyes swirling from hypnosis.

"Mama mia," says the first one. "You're gonna die! Yippie!"

"Do the Mario!" snarls the one in red. "Do the Mario! Wahooo!"

Well, "I'm going to try and dropkick the one in red into a bottomless pit!" (Body)

At the very least Luigi will be easier to work with than his brother. Nobody thinks Luigi is a hero.

I'm going to do my best to ensure that neither Mario (the one in red) or Luigi (the one in green) die if they are defeated so that we don't ruin the Mushroom Kingdom in the process of fixing things.

Assuming Pax killed the one in red in some way besides kicking him down the bottomless pit, we could give him the 1-up, bringing him back to life, while also breaking the hypnosis. We would then have Mario on our side to help us defeat his brother, and whoever our hidden foe is.
