Some of it was funny. I can appreciate the view of crappy workers and a boss trying to hold things together. But really, a plot that's driven by bad choices being made in stupid ways just tends to make me care less and less about the people involved. The ending wasn't much of a resolution to things and people didn't seem to get punished enough for their bad choices, so I just don't encourage anyone to bother.
I haven't seen the movie so I can't outright declare the intent of the director, but it is a Mike Judge film and I imagine it follows similarly to Office Space in the regard that real life doesn't always get resolved and the bad guys don't get punished like they really should.
But then again, why bother with a Mike Judge film for something like that when you can just be a film snobb and watch some French New Wave?
Saw Star Wars Episode I in 3d . . . hate Jar Jar and just about every other racial stereotype blatantly tossed in that movie, but it's hard to knock Darth Maul.
Eh . . .
I have no sekrets, I just am.

No, he means Gamer a film about a prisoners who's bodies are implanted with cybernetics and then linked to a server. A player then logs into the server and controls the prisoner but the prisoner is still free to give the player advice with regards to the mission they happen to be on.
For a great movie about a video game watch THE COMPLETELY F'D UP movie eXistenZ with Willem Defoe, Jude Law, Jenifer Jason Leigh, Callum Keith Rennie, and Christopher Eccleston (makes Inception look like it's geared for idiots).
Wife has to work tomorrow night, so we did our Valentines day today. We went to see two movies today and out for a very nice dinner afterwards. The two movies we saw were:
Chronicle: It was just about what you would expect. The character development was a little better than I thought it was going to be. They did a good job of not getting too comic book like with it. It was still a very grounded in real life movie with real things happening to real characters that you are mostly invested in. It did leave me with a few too many questions by the end of it, but it was refreshing in a way to watch a movie that didn't feel it necessary to overexplain things.
The Vow: It is what it is. It was a fairly predictable movie and was a perfectly timed Hollywood "Drag your Boyfriend/Husband to the theater for Valentine's day" movie. That being said, I am not afraid to admit that I did enjoy it overall and would recommend it to any who might be looking for a good romantic movie for date night. If anything, I liked it more than the most of the reviewers that are rating it.

Granted, not a lot of movies are needed. I get that. There's a whole slew of crap out there.
But c'mon, what's this world without Hitchcock, Welles, Billy Wilder, Fritz Lang, Bergman, Fellini, or Truffaut (wish I could name some female directors)?
Even though Mothlight is just a minute long reel of projector tape (not even film, just the blank celluloid) with dead moths stuck to it, it still has a place in this world beyond just entertainment (it's totally not entertaining at all).
To say that no movie is needed because of stuff like Hangover II is akin to saying no book is needed because of Twilight.
Sorry, I had to be a film snob there.
Books and movies aren't needed. By this I mean they aren't needed to live. Sure life is more fun with them, but if someone told me that in order to live I wouldn't be able to watch movies or read books, I would be cool with that. There's more to life than books and movies.
That being said...movies are still pretty cool to watch.

Recently watched Paranormal Activity 2. I haven't even seen #1 yet. It was OK.
Last night the family watched Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. It was pretty good actually. My son has read all the books, and he saw the movie when it was out in theater. I'm surprised that it's taken this long for them to make book/movie #2 (coming out next year).
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
Somehow, believe it or not, they actually made a worse movie than the original.
Granted, our favorite flaming skeleton is always pretty thin on plot to begin with, but this was still pretty bad.
And it was made even worse by Cages' bad (non?) acting, choppy camera work, and Jonah Hex-like bits of animation thrown in.
