Damn! My venue's owner just informed me that Alliance is out of stock on Star Trek Tactics. I was planning to run a two-booster sealed Tactics event this Wednesday. He only has one CDT that he's reserving for that event, which would only cover six players. So I'm switching to one booster but bring any two ships.
If it's true about Alliance being out of stock, then sounds like Tactics is a hit!
Quick--I need to know--did DemonRS say we're not allowed to post Lionel in the New Member Forum, or anywhere on the site?
He said this:
Lionel Richie and hello
Ok guys enough is enough. If you want to welcome new members please do so. But lets stop the "joke" of the song as it can be rather intimidating and unwelcoming to new members.
I dont want to hand out warnings or anything for having a little fun. But i am asking politely now. Please stop.

Miniature Star Trek ships that can be used to fight each other in a game or just sit on your desk and look cool? I believe the term is "printing money".

That sucks to hear. My venue had 3 more cases ordered. He had initially ordered 6 and got 4.
Most everything he orderers gets shorted by Alliance. His order that arrived on 2/1 was short almost half his comic order and the OP Kit for IG Month 2 and Star Trek did not arrive. He was told that the 2 OP kits would arrive on 2/15, but I have already prepared my players for neither arriving, as I know if it gets missed anything Alliance says afterwards is probably a lie hoping that by the time the replacement is supposed to arrive you will have forgotten about it in anticipation for the next thing they short ship you.
The week before was short 1 box of comics and he only got 2/3 of his ST: Tactics.
From what I hear Diamond is not much better. It is very frustrating as a consumer knowing that almost weekly something you wanted is not coming in.
The more i see it, the more I hate DC's stupid logo. I dig having "families" easy to attach to each other, But the big DC should say it all. They shouldn't have to wright "DC Comics.". Man I tell ya, villians too crappy for WK to make into clicks, a stupid logo. Soon I won't care about their heros either.
Now for quality comics, check out Wolverine and the X-Men. Kid Gladiator fights a brood invasion inside Kitty Pryde. Not because he wants to, but because he didn't get his butt kicked by white blood cells inside Toad. With that in your brain, good morning.

Once again, I click on a rules thread and have NO CLUE what's going on, because we're apparently arguing about Dnd fourth edition and comparing heroclix to segregation...
Sorry about that Vlad. I like to make comparisons from dislike things, and that thread's discussion really reminded me of the Jim Crowe laws.
And since this post and my previous one was somewhat serious...
AMC's new unscripted one hour series, Comic Book Men, dives deep into fanboy culture by following the antics in and around master fanboy Kevin Smith’s New Jersey comic shop, Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash. The six part series documents the daily banter of the Stash staff and customers as they geek out over mind-blowing pop culture artifacts and the legends behind them. Comic Book Men features Secret Stash employees Walt, manager and de-facto leader; Mike, a comic book virtuoso; Ming, the store’s technical expert and go-to whipping boy; and Bryan, who doesn’t actually work at the Stash, yet can always be found perched on a stool behind the front counter. As the team buys, sells and discovers the treasures of the comic collecting world, they share all the juicy details with Kevin through their outrageous podcast, which is woven throughout the series. The Secret Stash is not only a place for these comic book men to buy and sell, but it’s also a refuge for many to hang out and be part of a community that loves comics.
Complementing the show are a host of online activities and extra video scenes at AMCTV.com, including episode sneak peeks, extra scenes, photo galleries and a talk forum.
Anyone plan on watching?
I will try a couple episodes just to see Kevin Smith.
