Bud, you attending my venue this Saturday? I need someone to judge or I will have to cancel it. Lady Lurker's boss's funeral is this Saturday and I need to attend.
I'd be happy to run things for you!

That'd be an epic last day. Take a dump on the scale and, based on the weight of it, leave a note with the number of germs on it.

The better science education is the one that is hands-on. Telling a person about cubic centimeters and moles and other conceptual things makes it difficult for them to get a grasp on it. However, if they do a hands-on experiment or have something to physically touch and examine, the lesson stays with them better.
So, in the name of science, go forward with Bud's suggest excrement conversion experiment.
Listening to a temp try and explain that there is just no way they could have made a mistake is pretty funny.
Listen, lady, did anyone help you with this? No? Then can you please accept that you did make a mistake so we can can move forward with the steps to correct the mistake?

I loathe people who cannot own up to a mistake. Everyone makes them, some are bigger than others, denying things just makes everything else more miserable.

One has to wonder if this behavior is the reason why she is a temp. From what I've seen an employee review would be a complete nightmare.

My favorite story about working in Murdertown, happened around 8:00PM at night on a weeknight around 2002ish. I was walking down King street (around 6th & King) to the train station. Two blocks south and downhill at 4th & King I could see a full grown man not wearing shoes, socks, or a shirt... just white, blood-stained shorts and a windbreaker that wasn't zipped up. I remember it was in the winter and pretty dark out for 8:00PM. So I knew he had to be a cracky. I decide to cross to the other side of King so as not to pass him and because there was always an armed guard around 5th and King where we should have intersected. Cracky decides to run full speed barefoot up King all the way to 8th and crosses King at 8th and charges me down to around 5th & King. When he gets to me he starts screaming at me asking me why I had to change street sides when I saw him. The guy was covered in blood. So I respond loudly, "because you're covered in blood, cracky!" at which point he was like "oh ok" and walked away.
