I, too, went last night. My group agreed, the extra content was not needed. I was mostly upset by the extra scene at the end, though. Another thing that was definitely not needed.

One of our group theorized that the comic itself wasn't long enough to make it into a movie, so they needed to add stuff - and that's what they came up with.

I've told you all before that if you form a company, in Delaware with a foreign word in the name, you have to define it.

I just formed a company called Vaporeon. Looking that up, I found that is the name of a Pokemon. So I defined it as "a Water-Type Pokemon that looks like a cross between a cat, dolphin, unicorn and seahorse. Though upon further inspection it could be their focus is on the "vapor" portion of the name (the 'eon' ending making it an adjective) because those vape stores are opening everywhere!"

If your thing is using your phone to catch digital monsters based on your real world location, go for it.
If your thing is playing with little plastic superheroes, go for it.
If your thing is dressing up in a fur suit, I don't want to hear about it, but you go for it if you want to.
