Masked Dragon is preferable since the searched monsters can be summoned in defense or attack position. And what WIND dragons can Flying Kamikiri #1 (FK1) search?
Troop Dragon
Gray Wing (anyone play this)
Spirit Ryu
Twin-Headed Behemoth
(am I missing any)
Not too many options to warrant the running of FK1, and some of those cards aren't even run in most dragon decks in the depot or ones I see.
Better yet, since what anyone else says has no bearing, let me say this, post on the topic. If you are just going to post comments such as "dragons suck", you are not posting on the requested topic. You are spamming, and spam will be dealt with how the mods see fit (yes I am one of them). So If I happen to find any more spam after this post, I will remove it and warn all parties.
If the spam continues from multiple parties, I will close this thread.
I've found FK1 extremely useful if pulling out spare dragons to help cover myself. The Dragon Swelling the Cave, a normal monster, but 2000 defense can sometimes buy a turn or two with a book of moon.
Armed Dragon 3, incase I've already used up masked dragons.
Plus it has the added bonus of, if played in a first turn, throwing my opponent's off.
Alright I just realized that I didn't even post the link to my Dragon/Machine deck lol! So here's the link you guys, and I hope you can r/f plz. Any good suggestions are welcomed. :devious:
Help me, and I will try and help your deck as well :)
Flying Kamakiri can definitely work in an Armed Dragon deck, but I don't really see any use for it outside of that. It can help you thin your deck maybe but in the majority of the cases, I would say that Masked Dragon is a better searcher.
And blackfire, I don't see a link...if you can get me a link I will take a look at your deck.
Aside from armed dragon, FK1 is useful with pulling out Twin Headed Beheamoth if you employ 2 Spiritual Wind Artin your deck..
I love bouncing Airnight and BLS back to the bottom of a deck.
I know there is another Wind-Monster searcher, but I can't recall it's name, only that the condition of it's effect is that you couldn't summon another copy of it with its effect.
Almost forgot, UFO Turtle too can help a fire, but I'd run only one.
UFOTurtle -> Masked Dragon -> Armed Dragon or Horus

the thing about grey wing is that he is very weak hes what 1300? . if he were any bit stronger hed be great. i used to play him to try him out way back in the day, i ocationally play him just for kicks. i used him in a deck with lots of equip cards and not to forget dragons it was agro beatdown. strange place for it isnt it? oh and blackfire, i think it would make a desent hybrid im working on getting 3 cyber dragons just for that.
Hmm. No Dragons in EEN. So I guess there's nothhing to add to the thread (warriors...always get something in everything) (shakes fists at clouds).
So let's go back in time...to the time of SOD, when chaos was still extremely popular and Horus could not dethrone it. I was thinking if I decided to run a Horus deck with Spear Dragons and Luster Dragons, there probably would be enough FIRE and WIND monsters to give Element Dragon one or both effects. Is it worth it to add Element Dragon? I'm working on adding it now. Hopefully, I get positive results in play testing .(Maybe that's why they was in the same set).
I think Element Dragon is pretty decent in a Horus deck.
With Horus, the only shortage you may have is with Fire monster's (since Horus will really be your only fire monster in the deck most likely unless you try out Tyrant Dragon and other's in it).
Wind shouldn't be too much of a problem considering like...7/10 of the Dragon community is Wind x_x
But it's pretty possible to gain both effects in deck. I have on more than 1 occassion (Horus LV8 and Armed Dragon LV10 or Luster or Spear or Armed Dragon LV5/LV7 or something) and it was nice having a 2000 ATK Soldier-attacking monster on the field.
I guess Divine Dragon Excelion is a way to make up for no Dragons in EEN....yeah...by putting in ONE dragon in SOI....so unfair ><*
Well what if you threw in some Masked Dragons? Good for some deck thinnning, field presence and a fire attribute. Not to mention that they could also search out an Element Dragon as well.
Yeah, I did notice that Masked Dragon was a FIRE attribute, so it would go great in a dragon deck utilizing Element Dragon. Check my sig. In my dragon deck, I fit in some Masked Dragons. So far, I've only tested my deck against an E-Hero deck and it did well. I found myself losing LP because of costs (Brain Control Premature Burial, etc) and bad beginning draws (must have been bad shuffling).
