Ah. i do got 3 Levias, 1 Sheep Cloud; working on getting more, bribes, etc. By the way, since i love coming up with tactics, did you ever think of a Jam Breeding Machine Stall and Slam deck? with Emergency Provisions at 3, Twister at 3, and bribes and solemns, you could stall with JBM and Messenger of Peace until the field is full of tokens that you Big Wave Small Wave out into Levia, Suijin, Spiral Serpent, or others.
Possible Cards...
3 JBM
3 Messenger of Peace
2-3 Lightning Vortex
3 S Judgment
3 Dark Bribe
2 Emergency Provisions
2 Twister
MST, HEavy, Trunade
3 Hydrogeddon
3 Sheep Cloud
Any of the Following:
Spiral Serpent
Gogiga Gagagigo
Daedalus
Suijin
Keep in mind, doing this route isn't the same, but allows for beatdown as well. Easily supports Ancient Rules, too, as well as Trade In to give the deck speed.
Cementing my place as a water strategist. JBM, Don Turtle; both do their part to support 3 tributes, when done right. With Skreech and Salvage, the chances of having 3 Don Turtle in hand is a lot higher than when it was printed.
Here's a combo that should have been blazingly obvious to me, but I had never heard about until now.
Lekunga + Spiritual Water Art - Aoi.
As we all know, Spiritual Water Art - Aoi is already an extremely effective card in WATER-based decks. Combine it with the token-summoning powers of Lekunga - which is decent enough on its own with its 1700ATK - and you're basically getting a free Confiscation on your opponent's hand, as well as setting up possible Return strategies.
I'm already working on a Lekunga Return deck. I'll post it up as soon as I finish it.
There's actually going to be a new card coming out in PTDN that's better than Super Double Summon in every way possible (well, except in one way, but that has absolutely nothing to do with WATER strats).
Force Release
Quick-Play Magic
When this card is activated, all face-up Dual monsters you control will be treated as Second Summoned. Monsters affected by this effect will be changed to face-down Defense Position during the End Phase.
If I'm not mistaken, Gemini monsters shouldn't lose their Second Summon effects if they're flipped face-down, so on your next turn you should be able to Flip Summon then and use their effects again. And even if they DO need to be Second Summoned again, at least you won't have to wait another turn to do so, like you would with Super Double Summon. Plus, this card turns on ALL of your Gemini monsters, not just one.
The water strategy I am currently working on is a levia dragon turbo deck involving skreech, salvage monster reincarnation and other recursive cards.
Your main objective is to get an ALO and a Levia dragon daedulus to your hand as quickly as possible. Warrior of atlantis in threes as well as 3 ALO should get the field out fast enough.
Then in order to get out Levia you can use skreech monster reincarnation or just draw it through the likes of crystal seer and deck thinners like mother grizzly and skreech (maybe hydrogeddon)
Then for tribute fodder 3 aqua spirits considering your grave will be full and of course treeborn frog.
You can destroy the field with levia dragon rather quickly and still have hand advantage due to salvage... then destroy it again.
To me it seems fast enough for this format and with the proper tech can be competitive.
Seems ok in theory, but we won't know until it's actually done. WATER hasn't been known to be a very fast Decktype outside of the small group of more Fish-based ones that have popped up with Coelacanth.
And Fish are only going to get better once The Duelist Genesis hits our shores; Fish get a new monster and Trap card that are simply perfect for what they're currently built to do:
Oyster-Meister
WATER/Fish
3-Star
1600ATK/200DEF
When this card is sent to the Graveyard, except when destroyed by Battle, Special Summon 1 "Oyster Token" (Fish-Type/WATER/Level 1/0 ATK/0 DEF).
Guess which awesome WATER-support card this works with? That's right, Spiritual Water Art - Aoi. It also works perfectly with the next card in the set:
Fishure-Charge
Normal Trap
Activate by Tributing (it actually says Releasing on the card, but it's the same thing) 1 Fish-Type monster. Destroy 1 card on the field and draw 1 card.
It's like Raigeki Break, but it takes advantage of Fish's swarming capabilities, and it evens itself out by giving you a draw. It may be slow, but at least Fish have their own bit of draw power now.
Yeah, unfortunately, the trend seems to break in CSOC since there isn't any Fish-Type support at all in it in favor of Plants, Tuners, and Synchros mostly. u_u
I want to use this thread to talk about everyones favorite water breathing creatures, fish! Am I right? Huh? Huh? Tell me I'm right. .........................................
Ah-Hem. Anyway I really want to start discussing the two new fish support cards for TDGS. I already planned a deck with them, but what do you guys think? Also isn't there a possibility that we'll get a new fish card as one of the TCG specific cards that no one knows about till the set comes out?
Yep. Its effect will not the miss the timing if sent to the Graveyard as a cost or to Tribute Summon since it's mandatory. Obviously except when it's destroyed as a result of battle...so you can discard it to activate a card if you want or anything like that. I've been having fun taking advantage of it with Neo-Daedalus and ditching 2-3 of them from my hand with its effect.
