--thinking of Bat-villains with "costumes" rather than "garish 1950s suits" is difficult.

When our story opens, the Question is investigating an impossible locked-room murder mystery involving a midget and a 6'6"-tall call girl into heavy bondage. Don't worry, I'll explain later. It's all vitally relevant.

"Ibid" is a term for citing sources in a work like a term paper. Had you gone to college (as anything other than a biology specimen) you'd have known that.
But it was indeed Penguin and Catwoman. Oswald Cobblepot and Selina Kyle appeared at a charity ball at Wayne Manor in Anderson's novel. The thread is yours.

See, this is what I was having trouble with -- was Cobblepot wearing a tux? Does this mean he was in costume?
--befuddled!

The novel didn't mention what he was wearing, or if it did I don't recall. I take your point about the Penguin's "costume", but by "out of costume" I meant not in their villainous identities. He was not referred to as "Penguin", by himself or by anyone else. Sorry for the confusion.

Actually, I just finished classes over at the local university. Odd how abbreviations were pour into my papers, but not that one. Then again, it was all about computers. With all the abbreviations involved with that, I might've missed that one.
Anyhow, you only call me names or snideish comments when you have to give me the thread and/or (possibly) when your wife's Aunt Flo is visiting.

Let me assuage your feelings, Wyld. You can have the thread since CuCr's being mean to you. Don't get too close to him, he may grab you, bend you over his knees and start to spanking you... if his knees hold up that long, that is.
Geez, JTR, don't get your panties in a knot. I'm sorry if I offended you with my comments (but considering all the cracks you've made about me, including but not limited to references to my mother, I don't see where you have any moral high ground here).
And Wyld, I really don't see what JTR is talking about regarding my being "mean" to you, but if I did offend you in any way, I apologize unreservedly. It was never my intention.

TRIVIA THREAD DRAMA DERAIL!!!
(Wyld blasts this week's villain)
"His rep level is over 9000!"
In the 1980s, Firestorm was both a teenage high school student and an adult nuclear physicist. This meant that a lot of Firestorm's enemies were also high school students or nuclear physicists. Name three of Firestorm's enemies who fit into either of these categories, and name at least one in each category.
--I'm sorry if I lost anyone with my DBZ reference above.

You got the physicists I was thinking of, and one of the students. Well done! I'm also a fan of Bug and Byte, brother and sister high school students, who showed up on the "the Society intimidates every villain into joining" sequence in Villains United #1. I wonder if they had any appearances between that one and their debut.
Your question, Ignatz.

I hedged with Thinker because he didn't become a villiain until well after HS, but listed him just in case Summer was out of school by the time she became Hyena.
Hyena was, IMHO, one of the biggest disappointments of the revived Firestorm series. (S)he had just been introduced and somehow tied into Ronnie's dad's past the the organized crime angle-- as well as seeming to be a person in a suit*-- and instead resolved into a lame were-hyena thing.
* A reference to special claws, for one.
New Q:
What super-hero sued the JLofA, and for what?

I'm not offended. I didn't think you'd take it that way. After all, as you point out, I do make cracks about you. Well, you and everyone else here. I wouldn't take it to the point where I myself wouldn't be able to take it if roles were reversed. I think we've had this discussion.
One should only dish out what one can themselves take.
I don't actually recall comments about your Mom. That I am most assuredly sorry about that. I recall somethings about your dad, but that was based on some of the things you'd said of the guy yourself.
As for the thing with Wyld, I was kidding.
.....................
And we now return to our regularly scheduled trivia thread, where, when last seen, IgMo just found out that that wasn't his wife he slept with, but rather, it was her evil twin sister Helga who is now pregnant. But is she carrying IgMo's child, or perhaps the child of another man, but she's letting IgMo think it's his, because she has a coupon that's only good if she's carrying his child?
Keep watching and see if you can figure it all out.
I think Commander Steel evicted the Detroit League from his secret superhero base bunker.
--I'm not certain if he did so with a civil complaint or with power armor and fisticuffs, though.
