Does it have a lot of Arc Significance and continuity or can I just watch it as a stand alone.
Because, MAN, I hate Angel. What a mopey character. I just like Cordelia in skimpy clothing and Wesley (who has the best character development of any character on tv).
Seeing as it takes place halfway through the final season of Angel, it spoils the basic premise of that final season... Which, sorta spoils the first four. And I don't know many Buffy fans who didn't enjoy Angel, so you'll likely want to watch it.
Other than that, it's a fairly stand-alone episode.
I can't recommend watching Angel enough... Great characters (Fred, Gunn, Lorne... Wesley... Oh, man, Wesley is the Shiz)
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"
Still haven't watched a single episode of Buffy. Oh well.
(I am a huge Whedon/Serenity fan, so who knows? Maybe I'll get around to Buffy someday.)

Oh Vampire stuff. How I miss the days when you weren't in overabundance, and therefore ruined for me.
Oh Zombie stuff. Same for you guys.
It's weird. I know that a ton of people liked/like Lost and Doctor Who, and it doesn't bother me that I'm enjoying shows that mainstream audiences clamor for. But when it comes to Vampires, Zombies, and Family Guy, it instantly becomes a turn-off for me. What is the deciding factor, here?

There were parts of Angel that I really liked and parts that I really didn't like.
I hated the way Cordelia's story went. Though I loved seeing Gina Torres through that arch.
I loved the way Fred's story went. Though it was a bit tragic considering, but I still loved it.
I loved Wes's character development.
For the most part I liked Lorne, though sometimes it was a bit over the top.
I thought Lindsey was one of the more complicated characters being in a very gray zone for most of the show. I loved how they were able to maintain that.
I loved the episodes where we saw the backstories of the vamps.
Angel wasn't nearly as mopey in Angel as he was in Buffy. At times he was pretty darn funny.
Though I'm not a huge fan of Faith to begin with, I enjoyed her more on Angel than Buffy.
I definitely prefer Buffy to Angel, but for the most part, Angel was enjoyable.

I've always been a huge fan of zombie stuff. Always. Now it's just as fun as a genre in general, but there's a whole lot more room for poorly done stuff or overdone stuff like running zombies. overall though, I'm liking what I see. Shaun of the Dead is still my favorite movie of all time.

Not sure, but I hear you.
Twilight has pretty much turned me off from vampires. Talk about market over-saturation.
As for Family Guy, I have tried to watch and like the show but I find it highly annoying. Outside of Stewie, there's no much for me to like. For some reason, hearing Peter Griffin's voice is like nails scratching across a chalkboard. (And this coming from someone who love animation and to this day still LOL's over the antics of The Simpsons.)
Go figure.

I used to be really really into the Zombie stuff. Still kinda am, but it's dwindled considerably. From the movie standpoint, I'm tired of seeing trash getting made with it as a theme. From a video game standpoint, I'm tired of seeing every video game with a zombie DLC expansion that everyone wants so damn bad.
Look, if I want to play a zombie game, I'll play L4D2, or I'll lobotomize myself properly enough to withstand the agony of using the Dead Rising control scheme, and go through 3 days of that. If I want to watch a zombie film, I'll watch Shaun of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, or Dawn of the Dead (The original, not the garbage one). If I want to play a zombie card game, I'll play Zombie Fluxx. If I want to play a zombie board game, I'll play Last Night on Earth.
If I play other stuff, I do not want zombies in them, just so that the game developers have an easy out for dehumanizing the people I'm going to kill. I don't need dehumanizing. People are taking potshots at me, and attempting to breach my skull. That's all the motivation I need, thank you.
