Slightly. Yeah, he was buff, but I don't know, there's something about him I just can't get into. It was a good movie. I enjoyed Thor better. Thor was dreamy.
I wonder if this has to do with Chris Evans' prior roles as the Human Torch, etc. I always thought that he must be appealing to the ladies. In Captain America they even give him that "gee whiz what a nice guy" vibe, as well as muscles and physique. Or could it be that Thor is at first a bad boy - and ladies always have this thing for bad boys that they turn good eventually? (Or maybe it's Thor's heavy metal musician looks?)
Truffs, can you explain the attraction of Thor versus the not-so-much of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers?

Okay, time to try to catch a quick nap. Work has been kicking my butt with late hours, and I have to go in tonight too, but I'm hoping just for about three hours.
I noticed but I didn't say anything, lest she give me the same treatment that she gave Ole Man Koenig - IN DA MOOOOOUUTHH!!!!

He feels very surface-y to me. I don't know how to explain it. It felt fake, like he was acting. And for me it's not all about a rock hard body. He's good looking, but not in a way that appeals to me. Personality plays a huge part in attracting me, and I get a general feeling that he knows he's ripped and expects the adoration for it. Even looking at pictures of him, they just scream "I'm the man."
Thor's emotions felt more real to me. He was imperfect and concerned about his imperfections. And Chris H. just has a much more appealing face to me. I get a feeling that he's a genuinely nice guy and maybe that's what's coming through on screen.

So Captain America should have a twinkle in his eyes? No way. I know Evans can play one, just watch Losers, but Cap should be dead serious most of the time, he's not a "let's get wasted and try to score with the wenches", unlike a certain norse god. I'm happy that Evans played Cap in a way that was "true" to how I see Cap.
But yeah, Hemsworth has been one of the best picks for Marvel movies, right there with Robert Downey and Sam Jackson.

You're addressing a lot of issues that nobody brought up.
Evans didn't have the proper charisma to be a perfect Cap.
Compared to Hemsworth who had charisma and swag in spades.
