I have a bunch of books I'm reading right now. Tell me a bit about it and I'll put it on the list.
A self absorbed blonde bombshell is forced to grow up quickly when her sister is murdered and she goes to ireland to investigate only to find out that the world is not as it seems. It's a thriller/mystery encompassing magic, different planes of existence, and demons of all kinds. I got the impression that it was written for women so there are lots of rippling muscles and whatnot. The plot and twists were excellent. It would make an amazing movie or TV series.

I stopped reading that. Hated it. It felt like it was going nowhere fast.

I thought they said the world was a post apocalyptic one, implying that the entire Earth had been impacted by nuclear war. I got that distinct impression as did everyone else I spoke with about it.

My wife suckered me into reading it and I ended up liking it, except for some of the angsty romance stuff. That I could have done without, but it does add to the plot often enough that it might change the book if it were removed.
