Heroes of the Resistance Expansion Pack for X-Wing moved from on the boat to Shipping yesterday.

Means probable release around 10/28 (+/- 3 days).

(is prepaid preorder at MM, so I'll be making a drive down there to get my pumpkin colored fighter, just in time for Halloween)

Looks like 3 repaints and no new ships.

I want the Hoth X-Wing playmat from FFG ...

It is nice, I have it.

It and the StarKiller base mat surface both are not as slick as the older ones, which is a bonus as the ships do not slide as easily.

I really want to fly a few Defenders across it - I think it will look great.

I flew them across the orange Cloud City map earlier this week, to great success. They need more maps to conquer.

Everyone on the other sites think this corresponds with the promise to release modeless boosters, and the upcoming info on Worlds and Nationals confirms that they're planning something to that effect.

I've seen those discussions - packs with alt cards and no ships/bases/dials.

Sounds ... like a few of the Munchkin expansion packs. Of "meh" interest level.

Maybe. I don't own a lot of those Munchkin packs, but in this case I think it's a good idea. A lot of people don't want to buy the same models over and over, and this offers a (hopefully) cheaper and more numerous way to get expansions.
