Why wouldnt the greatest Pirate of all time be in this game....way more memorable than a person like Anakin Skywalker...what did he ever do?
Did he ever stare down the Mega Rancor or Daniria 4?
Did he ever slay the Sarlacc on Segovia??
Did he ever sell Jabba the Hutt his own mother back at a marked up price?? I think not

...subtle.
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"

Probably because he had such a presence in “Rebels” (which I hope is a follow-up to this as it’s some prime SW). I was honestly pressed to recall if Hondo appeared before we met the future Phoenix Squadron.

I would put his redemption arc in “Rebels” as better but matter of preference (far as I’m concerned the two series are one giant saga that ended up putting the Episodes I-IX to shame regarding how to tell a tale incorporating decades of time passage).

Yeah, I’m not really having a problem with Yulaten. He was definitely fighting on the side of the Republic whom I’m more than certain are the Town (plus their Jedi allies). He was officious and well suited to be a “fleet ship of the line” for the Imperials but that has more to do with him being career “naval” and feeling like he was doing his job as opposed to any evil tendencies.

Hondo Ohnaka is a Weequay pirate, and basically the epitome of "true neutral."
He appeared in multiple storylines on The Clone Wars and then later on Rebels. He was at various points involved in holding Dooku and Obi-Wan+Anakin for ransom, selling weapons to Anakin to use to supply guerilla fighters against separatists, kidnapping, smuggling, etc, etc.
Lots of comic relief, but he also had some serious moments. In Rebels, he sided with the rebel characters more often, but in Clone Wars, he started out as an antagonist, and then sometimes ally, but Hondo was always interested in what was best for Hondo.

I was talking his most famous Clone War story as you were having a hard time recalling him before Rebels

I would say in Wars, Hondo was portrayed as more of bumbler, which is why I give him higher credit for his Rebels stories where not only pulls some over on the team but ends up being responsible for saving the galaxy more than he ever got credit.
I could see him here but, as noted, absolutely Neutral at best (maybe if the Separatists paid him enough but pretty sure Dooku holds a “small” grudge).
