Speaking of wolves; I know the situation was desparate in Ohio recently but I'm thinking they might not have had to shoot the wolves that escaped. Wolves (at least North American wolves) are likely to avoid confrontation with humans and aren't known to attack unless they're cornered.
I'm a huge animal person, but I think it was probably the right move. There was a monkey with Hepatitis B. There are probably other animals with some sort of disease that if released into the wild unchecked, could cause serious epidemiological issues.
I may be moving to yet another Patrol that's not on your list.
When I feel the need for bigger runs, I head further North where I know some guys on the Patrol at yet another place that's not on your list.
Are you looking to come up? I can help you out on the price side of things.
I used to go 3-4 times a year, but haven't in the last two seasons. With the young'n I doubt I will get out this year either. The only possibility would be the little one near Gelena, IL.
Sorry, Cascade was the other I was thinking of earlier, but I have been to a few in the UP before too.
Yeah, that one guy hovers in and out of my "That guys a dick" list. He's also a REAL big fan of dragging race/social/political issues into areas where they often don't even TANGENTIALLY fit.
Thanks for the heads up. Onto the ignore list he goes.
The Ever Growing Trickster and Pied Piper KO List!
U Ganthet, Labcoat Beast, Cap and Bucky
Not removing this until we get Clock King and The Rose-01/23/11
Come on, NECA-Marvel Horror Theme Set 2011!

BZZZT.
You're still striking out, here.
But I'm betting my place will be closer than Galena.
If we can work the logistics, you could bring the little blighter with you and we could make a weekend of it.
My parents' place is 15 minutes from the resort. It has 4 big beds and two little ones; plenty of space for all of us.

I'm sure they had no choice with the larger, more dangerous animals. I'm just thinking the wolves could have been spared til daylight when tranquilizers could be used as I don't think they were an immediate threat except possibly to livestock.
the monkey is something I can't speak for but that seems like an animal that could be subdued with a tranquilizor also.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.
I've never been in a Popeye's. While I've seen one in a mall, it wasn't at a time when I was looking for something to eat. To be frank, at least in this part of PA, they tend to be located in neighborhoods where I'd rather not stop any longer than a traffic light demands.
Oh, wait, I know that I've also seen one in the Gallery area underground near the Market Street terminal in Philly, but with all the things to eat in the Reading Terminal Market, not to mention other restaurants in the immediate area, it was only noted casually in passing.
It could be that if I ever tried it I'd really like it. So far I have nothing to base an opinion on.
I remember one Popeye's in Harrisburg, and it fit your neighborhood description perfectly. lol
