Why does everyone hate the new costumes? Other than superman having a collar and Harley Quinn's outfit, I think everyone looks just about the same, if not better.

Mainly because they don't actually read the books, but the costumes are shown on the covers.

I have no problems with the new 52 costumes, because the bad ones never last anyway.

Clinging ever so desperately to my hope that the 6th colossal is Groot/Rocket Raccoon, does anyone out there think the Groot would make sense as a 3x6? It kinda doesn't to me, which is sad, but I'm still clinging to the hope anyway.

I flipping hate the new costumes. Despite that, I continued to read all of my regular DC books through about half of the first story arcs. But with the continuity I've followed for the better part of 37 years completely dead, plus lame costumes that spit in the face of the heritage of the characters = this reader lost.

I will admit, however, that seeing the DCpU52 Superman clix sculpt in these GAMA reveals made me hate that costume slightly less.

What do you hate about the new Superman costume? I ask because this is the one costume that DC was legally required to change.

I'm glad that the rumors of "DC Heroclix will only feature nu52" are done. I think DC and Wizkids are smart enough to know that mining from both modern and classic/older costumes is the way to go.

Why was DC legally required to change Superman's costume? Not questioning you, genuinely asking. I didn't really keep up with all that.

The costume is part of the ongoing wrangling over the Superman rights. Apparently Siegel/Shuster own the costume design (or can make the case that they do), so DC had to change 20% of the costume so as not to violate copyright.

EDIT: That's my understanding at least. I could be a bit off.
