I too would love to go to Australia. I'll just avoid going in the water or the woods where they have giant spiders!

The War on mice front has been pretty quiet around here for the last few months, but a small rotting odor would reach my nose when I came up from the basement lately. two days ago I threw out what I thought was the offending bag of potatoes, but the smell wasn't gone that night.

I start pulling stuff away from the wall on the small pantry along the stairway, and I see mouse turds and some damage to the wall and insulation. Aha, a mouse hunt is afoot! Nope, I pull out the rice cooker, and there behind it is a dead mouse in a trap I hadn't checked in many weeks (since of course I thought the mouse hunts were over until late fall). Dead mouse, just getting stinky!
