Couldn't the taunted fig just have to follow the same line of sight the taunter made to taunt the taunted fig. (say that 5 times fast! )
Sorry if I missed it, but does the target of the taunt get an action regardless. If I get taunted and then my pyro throws a barrier around my figure, does he still get the figure for
"attempting" to move adjacent.

You missed it. From my first post on this thread...

If a Taunted fig cannot perform a legal action ("legal" meaning, by Taunt's definition) then the Taunt is ignored (this covers a taunted fig being taxied away or having a barrier thrown up around it).
There are 542,000 children in foster care. Talk to your local foster and adoptive agency. You could change a life.
I still say "attempting to break the barrier" would be a legal action, and the taunt would only be ignored if the character only had a 1 damage and couldn't break the barrier even on a critical hit.
Taunt + Sentinel should be illegal. 1st, the combination is far too good based upon capturing. 2nd, Can you see a Sentinel shaking it's rump or talking smack to enrage an opposing figure?
Okay, so it's more Sentinel, taunt and capture is just far, far too effective (cheap?).
KILOWOG not KILOWAG, KILAWOG or KILAWAG ROGUE not ROUGE (which happens to be RED in French) GRAVITON not GRAVITRON (Decepticon that never got made?)
Taunt looks like it will require a lot more finesse than i thought it would, but i think it is still a very viable strategy. i'm still going to try it out on my sentinel, and on V Blade, and see how they do. out actioning your opponent is the name of the game, and forcing actions to be wasted helps do that.
Lying to myself was never the problem.
The problem was when I believed.
My plan is Taunt + anyone with willpower and stealth. Stealth to avoid getting shot, and willpower, because if the enemy figure gets up in your grill, you need to deal with it.
Great figures for this....
Deathstroke
Batman
MM Blade (and BCF!)
Exp Moonknight (and SStrength!)
Ult Black Widow
Ult Spiderman (Wildcarding Bats stealth)
Only real issue is several figs with a MASSIVE 4 range. Cheap perhaps due to mega stealth, but I believe excellent figures to base Taunt on.

excecute taunt protocol
HEY WOLVERINE! I CAPUTURED YOUR MOMMA LAST NIGHT!
but seriously, i don't think it's too powerful. it's not like the sentinel can hide behind another figure or anything, so this tactic can really only be used on figures with a range less than 6, or that don't have charge and a speed 10 or greater, or HSS, and while that is a fairly large list of figures, how many of them see play?
