Or maybe I'm just looking at the wrong tools.
No you are right about Thor, I was mistaken. I thought you were refering to Nova.
I wouldn't mind getting her (along with Surfer one day) and I'ld definitly player her because I always like to play fun themed teams. It's just to bad that her and her Hearld brother really aren't worht their 200 points when you consider all of the many DC figures and few Marvel figures that are more worth their points in that area. Heres hoping for a respectable Hearld one day and a new Surfer, not to mention some respectable 200+ pt Marvel characters. Not a lot, just a few.
I'm wondering just how long it'll be before we'll get the 200pt. Terrax, the 200pt. Airwalker, and then, of course, the super-borken 200pt. Firelord.

I cannot wait to watch the short-circuting that a 200 point Power Cosmic Firelord causes around here! Woo!
Yeah, the 10 Damage with RCE would be a good start. But, everyone's getting a 20 Defense these days. He should get a 26 Defense (which drops to a 4 on his last click for easy healin').
And, he should get a 14 Attack Value with Pulse Wave.
He should also have Running Shot with 14 Movement and a 20 Range with three targets.
Or, if you don't want him to have Running Shot, give him his own free Feat card that allows him to ignore the NAAT rule and be carried by other flying characters (even if only those named Wasp or Vulture).

MC her, turn off Power Cosmic, turn off Impervious, and then have Nova RS towards you while killing her own support. With Power Cosmic turned off she is vulnerable to Outwit and pushing damage. So in one turn she should be crippled without any way to recover.

Yep, that was my point. I noticed, too, that once she became a moderator, she effectively stopped posting here.
I have no problems with member-submitted articles appearing on the main page. In fact, I think it is a great idea. BUT, shouldn't there be some kind of editorial control?
This article was superficial, and had some pretty dubious (and incorrect) statements. I'd like member-submitted articles on the main page to either be insightful, or useful in some way. This article, IMO, seems to be neither.
Her regular reviews are usually much more insightful.
I think that the problem with Nova will be that, with so many ways around Impervious out there beyond Outwit, you aren't going to be able to keep her on her good click(s) very easily.
Her first click combined with her team ability make her pretty fearsome ... at first glance. It's her 200pt. pricetag and big drop in playability after her Running Shot disappears that's going to keep her from being seen on too many teams.

I'm going to have to agree here. From a proffessional standpoint, she fluffed her article out to hit the 400-point mark exactly. She led off with a weak comparison between Thor and Nova, but only looked at one simularity - the first click of powers. She ignores Thor's anti-stealth abilities, and ignores the differences in attack, defense and speed values. She then writes Thor off, because Fortitude makes Thor more expensive than Nova.
However, Fortitude also stops Exploit Weakness, while Power Cosmic gives you a version of willpower.
Also, she notes that EW and PB are the ONLY things getting by Power Cosmic. Take a look at armor piercing and rethink that. For that matter, three damage ALWAYS gets past Invunerable.
By paragraph three, she finally starts comparing Nova to the figure that she should have started with - chrome surfer. Oh wait, to compare, she'd actually have to mention more about the piece than a vague reference to fanboys wanting more. Sorry, but as a fanboy, Nova's dial is not what I wanted my Surfer dial to be - Nova has fewer powers than Surfer.
By now, we still have no mention of the 9-click dial, one less than Thor or Surfer. While she touches on the first-click sweet spot, she doesn't compare it to the hassle that is Surfer's fourth-click sweet spot. We get gee-duh explanations of the Power Cosmic team, of two-target shooting, and readers-digest version of the dial (which would have been fine if they didn't have the stats linked to the article).
Also, she gives a rant against RCE. Sorry, but with trick shot out there now, RCE is solid. One of the biggest powers to use against ANY power cosmic piece (including Big G) is stealth.
Other notes: What is with that dead spot on the second-to-the-last click? Is that a designer's way to represent something else? And she's gilded, not chromed. The hot-rodder in me had to note that.
We need Sand. And Sandman. And even Sandy the Golden Boy.
