Here is agains, just one instance that this is said to be true. Again, not the definitive source on such things, but I think he might be highly offended if you called him a liar:

Originally posted by FaithlessOne Today I sat in on a panel with Joe Quesada, a nice Q&A session where I learned a lot and got to ask some decent questions.
My first was on his response to the critics comparing Young Avengers to Teen Titans.. to which he just scoffed and said it's how the business goes, stories have been done and you have to keep putting them out.
If this is true, then this is an admission that YA is Marvel's version/answer to Teen Titans.
1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC
Why answer something that's 40+ years old? I don't get it, why would Marvel need to mimic something NOW? It just doesn't make any sense to me. I think the original X-men are technically Marvel's answer to the Teen Titans, in my opinion.
Tha latest issue of Robin showed Penguin conferring via video screen with a number of unidentified people about weapons from Darksied, Atlantis and other sources they have accrued.
A few months ago, Kord Industries (aka WayneTech R & D) was bought by a mysterious conglomerate from Germany that no one has ever heard of..
Ares has been talking to Wonder Girl, in Teen Titans, about an upcoming war..
Green Arrow now has 3 "sidekicks". Connor, Arsenal and Speedy. I would not be surprised to see Arsenal go.
Batman is beginning to figure out that something was done to him. When he does figure it out it will be trouble for the JLA & may cause permanent rifts in the group.
All of this is building to Countdown & Villans United. It looks to me to be very interesting. As much as I read both Marvel and DC, I look forward to the results of the long term planning going on at DC.
I like killing guys when I wear a tux. It makes me feel like James Bond. Brock Sampson

And Teen Titans is DC's answer to New X-Men/New Mutants, which was Marvels answer to the orginal Titans etc... Marvel makes Young Avengers cause DC has Teen Titans, DC makes All-Star cause Marvel has Ultimate - its never going to stop.

Hopefully it will be better then the result of the build up they created around IDC
Theres only one Return, and it ain't of the King, its of the Jedi.
Wouldn't that be just be the best follow to IDC where they kill a couple Z-list characters and #### a character for shock value, kill a hero no one cares about. DC keeps saying these huge, universe changing events are happening/coming, but so far nothing has lived up to the hype they are creating.
