I don't think you can Perplex EE damage.

Here is Hair10 commenting on the matter.

That was a tactic I used to use, but I was corrected in a game with my friend one day.

So would you like to redo the turn? or should IG & HT just take 1?

Two of Doom's guards again threw grenades at Mr. Fantastic.

Sue's Force Field gave some protection, but it was shattered in the process, and she was barely able to stand.

Johnny was snuffed out and slumped against a wall, bleeding from a head wound.

The Thing's rocky hide merely smoked.

REDO

Minions of Doom turn 8

Fredreich is going for an EE attack on Mr. Fantastic. AV8 vs DV16. Roll is 5+4(9), HIT. 1 damage to Mr. Fantastic after toughness. Nothing to Mr. Fantastic or the Thing. 1 damage on The Torch and 1 damage on the Invisible Girl.

Dr. Doom perplexs Franz's AV up by 1.

Franz pushes to make an EE attack on Mr. Fantastic. AV9 vs DV16. Roll is 5+3(8), HIT for 1 damage to the Invisible Girl, 1 damage and the KO on the Torch, nothing to Mr. Fantastic and the Thing.

Everyone else clears.

Dr. Doom will mastermind damage done to him. First to Werner, then to Franz should Werner fall.

Mr. Fantastic was speechless. He was angered by this ruthless display of power. This both surprised and frightened him. He had never been this emotional in a fight before. Something about the atmosphere seemed like this was all supposed to happen, and he didn't like it.

Mr. Fantastic will attack Werner. atk8 + [6][3](9) = 17> 12def. hit for 1 and KO.

"I am sorry, Reed. I am just getting...tired. I will try to set up one last bubble, but I can't guarentee how long that will hold.

Invisible Girl will set up a Barrier at M-13, L-13, L-14, M-15.

Mr. Fantastic gave his teammate a look so adherent that Ben Grimm understood what had to be done.

"Honey, you're doing great. Just keep it up for a little longer."

Invisible Girl will push to put a Barrier in K-12, J-13, K-13, and L-14.

Susan collapsed. Reed whirled around in a heartbeat and caught her. Her eyes were closed, but her brow was gathered in concentration. Reed knew she couldn't keep the shield up for long. He turned his head and saw the maniacal man who called himself Doom. His emotions exploded in his eyes. This battle would not, could not be lost. This was for Johnny, This was for Susan. This was for the Fantastic Four.

"Univeri...my GOD! Victor? Victor I..AAAHHHHH!!!" Reed's words trailed in to a scream of agony as Dr. Doom's blast smashed him to the ground.

"Now worm, while he is weak, finish him and the invisible wench!" commanded Doom.

The soldier threw his last grenade, and when the smoke cleared, Sue and Reed lay sprawled on the ground, not moving.

"Now monster, it is your turn," sneered Doom.

Franz makes an EE attack against Mr. Fantastic. AV7 vs DV14. Roll is 4+4(8), HIT for 1 on Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Girl, for a double KO. The Thing is healed to full.
