One participating shop had no idea what I was talking about. When I explained what I was looking for, they assumed that the clix shipment wasn't sent to them. At least 2 other shops w/i driving distance had them.

The store i went to here in MD didnt have it either, when i asked the guy working the register he said he didnt know if they even ordered them! So I'm guessing they didnt.

You know, all stories here may be equally true. Keep in mind that everything that comes from "Diamond" does not come from the same place. Diamond has multiple warehouses that each serve a different part of the country, and it is entirely possible that one of the warehouses may have run out when another still has an overstock, just because of more stores participating in their region.

That being said, I got two.

I went to the Source (in St. Paul, MN) around noon, and they told me they had received about a couple hundred FCBD, and given them all out in the first hour. I had a couple buddies who had gotten their early, and they were able to get me one from folks who didn't want them. But that is pretty wild, a couple hundred in an hour. Wow!

I hope that all of you bragging about getting multiples of them realize that you are as big a problem as stores not getting enough/poor distribution/etc.



Rather than just getting one to use, you felt the need to get multiples--thereby causing others to not be able to get one.

Bah....I would put that more on the store themselves. They shouldn't really have let people take more than 1. If they did then it's the store's issue. People are going to take whatever you let them. We actually used them as bag stuffers and so people only got the one that was in their bag. We also limited the comics that people could take, just to make sure they'd last throughout the day. If the store's not responsible enough to take those steps for their customers then focus your anger at them.

2 of 3 venues had free batman in tallahassee, florida. sorry to those who didnt get one. i just hope all our legacy didnt sell out on fcbd.

I wish I could have had one...my local venue wouldn't give me one unless I bought something, and I'm kinda poor, so...yeah. >_< Maybe I'll come across someone who has an extra over at Samurai Comics on Wednesday.

Did anyone else have this problem?

One store I frequent had them and gave them out to the players at the regular tournament on the Sunday before FCBD. Another said on FCBD that they 'didn't get them in' which I didn't buy for a second. This store has had a number of issues including the Legacy Marquee prizes disappearing. Reading this thread, he may have been telling the truth - but it seems more likely he spaced ordering them in time and just played it off as the distributor's problem. Man, I love that Sunday store!

I frequent two stores in GA. One got their shipment (ended up with two). The second store said they recieved none, but were shipped more Rookie Hulks. So who knows. #2 store owner was very upset, but I don't know if it was his fault or eslewhere.

My two stores down here didnt order them because of the fact that they were too much for a box of them. I was really looking forward to getting one too. Does anyone have one that they can give me?

I visited four shops here in the Southeast corner of Pennsylvania on Saturday and only one of them didn't have the purple-ringed Batman clix. In that case there seemed to have been some confusion caused by one chain buying a store out from the other one, so this location hadn't registered as an official participant.

One of the stores indicated they'd gotten about 100 of them by mentioning to a regular that the first 100 people would get one. I have no idea how long the supplies lasted, though, as each of the shops I went to had been open for less than half an hour by that point.

Well, I did go into the store with my kids (Alexis picked up the Betty and Veronica comic and Luke picked out Star Wars...that's my boy!). So I got one for each of the kids, one for me and only one extra.

I'll be giving my extras away at the Clix For The Cure event this weekend in Bloomington, IL (What!? You've never heard of this great upcoming event?? Head over to the News Announcements, my friend. There's a great thread about this very event where one skillful player will walk away with a factory set of DC's hit Leagcy expansion!!).

If you were coming, you'd have the opportunity to get one but you once again have chickened out in fear of the superior skills of the Central Illinois Clixers!

Have heard that excuse before. Stores had to order them (they are not "free"- small fee). We had our local guy put aside a bunch for us (always good trade fodder). If a store blames a distributor (sometimes its a distributor) its usually because they were unprepared.
