Well. I did my good deed for the cause...I was in the local Toys-R-Us and suggested to a mother that she buy a starter kit and booster for her son after she asked me for advice on birthday presents (she had been debating the Darth Vader voice changer for an 8 yr old).

8 yr old + boy x "shooting weapons" = priceless

He loves them. We played a few "games" last night and the first thing he wanted when he woke up today was to play some more.

If the Super Wal-Mart here ever gets more...I'll pick up a booster or two for him.

Thank you for the review. I have a little bro and sis (6 and 10) and they have had a hard time wrapping their heads around Heroclix (go figure, I'm 25 and can't even figure it out....).

I saw the ads for this in comics, and picked up a box at Target. I asked my kids if they'd play it, which is my usual yardstick when making purchasing decisions, and they said "sure." Very fun game, though my Darth Vader doesn't snap back and so can't knock over anything.

Anyone need a Grievous or force-push Obi-Wan? I'm still looking for Yoda and the Emperor, among others.

My boy turns 3 next month. We don't play with the tixing, he just picks one up and has the figure declare "Now it's my turn to shoot." He discovered the joy of tanks about a year ago with Iron Giant, but apparently hand guns just came into being sometime last week. The timing was perfect. Plus, boosters make great rewards for potty training. :D


BTW, the Super Battle Droid is the Iron Giant.

i got a booster today. puller a wookie commando, clone trooper and VADER. a friend and i played . vader whipped on the two punks with ease. i will not be getting into this game as much as clix which i am not playing that much of anymore. i will get a starter a few more boosters[i really want yoda and some more clones and wookies] and if i come across the at-rt i will snag it as well. i cant wait til set 2 comes out with, the fetts, generic jedi and DARTH MAUL. also a republic gun ship is the big fig for the next set. when did atacktix come out? i cant buy anymore stuff for a few weeks[saving my pay checks for car] and what is the deal with chewie and tarfull's hand? it would have been cool if chewie came with his bowcaster rifle. all in all a great game for gamers and anyone of age[3+]
