Figure it would have to be. With the demise of CrossGen, Wildstorm is the 800lb. gorilla of the Indy world. I still wouldn't hold my breath for anything Spawn-related (I personally could care less). But WildCATS, StormWatch, and even Authority aren't out of the question.
And since I've been waiting for news of this since Heroclixs' first release, I'm exstatic that they'll do em. And hopefully with the sales generated, they may expand into other stuff. I can only hope that Spawn jumps on board with other Top Cow stuff, Wildstrom stuff as well as all the other independant comics that have a following amongst a lot of fans.
about the brick collectors piece, from what it sounds to me this piece will be a promo and I dont think it will be tournament legal, thats probaly why they are doing one per household.
Wildstorm could probably be a set unto itself, huh?
Anyway, as a COLLECTOR, I must say "put me down for a brick". I will admit, I am weak.
My gut tells me that the "new guy" piece(s) will probably be 'name' characters - like a special Hulk or Wolverine, along those lines. But the "brick" pieces sound like they would be seriously obscure characters, which sounds GREAT! I can see the likes of Steeplejack or Rock Python coming from this promotion - guys that are so deep in Unlikelyville, that this would be a means to make the figures, but not take up slots in a regular release. Maybe those are bad examples...
It wouldn't work with Rip It Up, actually - you have to be adjacent to the object - you can't be holding it... and you can't drop an object without destroying it.
You can if you "unintentionally" lose super-strength.
Looks like Viper-masterminding-onto-Booster-Gold teams get a boost from this. BG carries Viper and a free object token. Viper masterminds 2+ damage onto Booster who loses superstrength and drops the item. Booster Gold heals himself with the item he just dropped (though the team may have to move to another position so that only he's adjacent to the object).
Hmmm. I wonder what the cheapest character who has Superstrength for only one click is. I think Rookie Major Maxim (28 points) would work. Give him rip it up. Have him move and pick up a free token. Next turn, push him. He loses Superstrength. He drops the item. A nearby medic heals him. Then he gets superstrength again. Rinse and repeat to have someone who can continue to create light object tokens. Every three turns, he can drop another token on the board. It might be worth having 2 Majors (56 points) to make 2 objects every 3 turns... if you have some other character with Nanobots who's worth healing who also is able to run where-ever he wants (like back to the starting area)... and if you have plenty of actions to go around (which seems unlikely).

Seth: Yes. One of the places you will see rules 'changes' in Icons is to finally clean up how terrain and maps work in HeroClix. Among them is that different types of terrain will have clearly defined boundaries around them so that each square is clearly oen type of terrain or another. The boundaries open up some cool possibilities, too--including the ability to make Indoor/Outdoor maps for the first time. Plan on seeing one of those before the end of the year.
Hm.... that sounds like a certain other collectible miniatures game, doesn't it?
They could have green lines for hindering, pink lines for walls, orange lines for pits.... and release tiles to biuld your own maps!
Oh wait. Someone already thought of that.

Come to the Dark Side, because we have better uniforms. Better rules, abilities, and sculpts too.
Wildstorm is the easiest, most logical choice for an IndyClix expansion for one reason. The entire company is currently owned and licensed by DC. Wizkids has said that the biggest problem with Indy is the licensing problems involved. (The very reason why we got Hellboy from Dark Horse, but not Predator or Aliens.) So going after a major license owned by someone they already have a close working partnership with makes sense. If anyone actually cared about the characters, I'd suggest that they go after Malibu and the Ultraverse as well, since I think Marvel still owns them.
Order 66 - It's not just policy, it's fun, too!

..( ><)0xx][::::::>.....This is Bun-Bun. Bun-Bun is looking for Bunny. If you know where Bunny is, JUST TELL HIM! PLEASE!
I was wondering if the Nanobot feat cards will work with a Hypersonic character who runs away from battle and walks up and be adjacent to an object to get another free action to get healed 2 damage points.
Ex: Hypersonic guy attacks: Flash attacks (Power Action Spent) and moves away and becomes adjacent to an object. Does the figure get a free action to make an object disappear and get healed 2 points.
If this is the case both Hypersonic and Phasing will be very powerful. I guess I will have to deal with more hypersonic teams in major tournaments.
Wouldn't this apply to Transporters, too?

Buddyhoss Will there ever be generic figs (sculpted w/dials)
Seth Yes, but they'll be generics in the sense that they'll be low point-cost figures that will be able to fielded in large numbers without offending people's sense of continuity. However, you won't see many boring Joe Q. Cop or Jane Criminal figures. They'll be the sort of generics that you see only in comic books.
Didn't say if these were blister pack only or returning to boosters .... I'd vote for blister packs with a Unique-level figure ... Red Skull and Hydra-specific henchman types, Nick Fury and so on ...

Kaitouace Any plans for DC to finally get a large
Magister Wouldn't that be cool?
Not as obvious a hint as the Wildstorm clue, wot? Or is it a hint?
