the idea of chucky getting mc'd and mcing his own teammates worried me so i found this strategy...does it work it my question.
since chuck will almost always have someone based with him for protection or mm fodder, wouldn't that stop him from making a ranged mc attack against his teammate? he would be adjacent to an 'opposing' fig and unable to make ranged attacks right? so he could mc the fodder but even they would still have to breakaway and such right? let's figure this on out and make chuck the beast he should be.
help me out on this cuz if it works....chucky's on the squad.
I'm a big fan of MC. Especialy multiple MC. It is one of the most devestating powers in the game. The feedback damage is only fair.
Properly done you can wreak havok on an opponents team. I love Morgan Le Fay for the same reason. Professor X is better in a lot of ways.
Don't forget that if you MC 3 figs that they are all on your team atthe same time then cease to be on your team only after each one takes their free action. Also you have the ability to "cancel" their optonal powers until the end of the turn.
NAAT doesn't apply to MC actions as they are "Free" so you can MC two guys have guy 1 carry guys 2 and cancel guy 1's Impervious. Then have guy 2 hit guy 1. Lots of really stupid combos.
In the above example i did 5 from KC supes to some random guy, then Thor hit Supes for 5 w/ running shot for 5 (supes canceled his IMP). Then Darkseid outwited something canceld his own imp and hit Thor for R (Thoe also chose to cancel his IMP).
Not to mention all three guys were move withing range of the rest of my team. It was devestating.
Then Morgan Le Fay's head exploded from feedback, butr the damage was already done.
All warfare is based on deception. Hence when able to attack we must seem unable. When we are near we must make the enemy believe we are far away when far away we must make him believe we are near. Feign disorder, and crush him. Sun Tzu

Right. As soon as one of your characters gets mind controlled, he/she becomes an opposing character to the rest of your characters. That means no ranged attacks. However, Mind Control can be either a ranged or a close combat attack, so that doesn't help.

Great theme: Prof X (Dr. Scott), Cyclops (Brad ### HOLE!), Jean Grey (Janet SLUT!) and White Queen or Black Queen (Dr. Frankenfurter)
You can further enhance it with a much larger though still appropriately hideous Solomon Grundy as Riff Raff! And maybe even Doc Samson as Rocky (or The Thing, as a pun)
When you show your team, point to each and go "Janet, Doctor Scott, Janet, Brad, Rocky, Unh!" Do this several times

HOLY CARP!
Wow, I'd almost sacrifice Prof X to pull off something devestating like that.
The best I've done was to MC Batman, have him outwit his own teammate's defense and then turn off his TA.
I then hit the teammate, and then opened fire on Bats.
I've never heard of the situation where NAAT didn't apply because the actions of the controlled figures are free, but I suppose it makes perfect sense.
(Although, try explaining that durring a tournament and you'll lose 10 minutes of the game while the opposing player and the judge look up all the rules.)
One of the coolest defend characters in the game now, ironically, used to be one of the lamest figures ever: Queryl Dox. Him and Sue Storm like to team up to give Chuck (or anybody) a 19 defense, 20 from range. He's no good as MM fodder, and not the best taxi (low movement), but he kicks butt at protecting people. Have a GL on your team (or if you're cheeky, Jarvis with TB) and Mr. Dox can carry Chuck and a bunch of 19 defense pogs for mastermind fodder. Make the pogs Mary Janes and have a Intergang Medic join your posse, you're looking at a wall of 19 defense outwit lead by our main man, Professor X.

Clever. One thing worth mentioning (and is something I frequently forget) - if you use Outwit then that figure is no longer under your control. MC states as soon as the action is completed the MC'd figure reverts back to his controlling player.
So as long as everyone you do this to has 0 damage reducers or the "Optional" Impervious, it can work.
RE: Pushing Damage --
Pushing damage is always done last. So you take your feedback click or clicks, then you push. Just like pushing to Regen - you click up the damage healed. The you take push damage.
Having Willpower in the right place can really boost a character...
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
I just wanted to add that if you choose to use Warlock as a taxi for the 'fessor as azs mentioned, adding the force field feat can give him Toughness on those Defend clix, making Warlock more Mastermind fodder-freindly.
MC with 3 bolts definately rocks. The best example I've seen of it was when I MC'ed my opponent's Dr. Doom, U Thor and U Thanos. Thanos and Thor gave Kilowog a one-two punch that took him off the map, then Doom used Serpent Society TA to run across the map into my force's LOF.
This version of Professor X really rocks. This weekend I used him to mind control my opponent's Thor and really wreck some havoc. I didn't do anything too fancy with the mind control, other than straight damage and splitting up Thor's attack, but it was enough to win me the game by concession on turn seven. I was pretty impressed with how the Prof worked out, considering the person I play usually wins!
question guys, can you MM the feedback damage from MCing opp figs...? thanx
Nope. Mind Control feddback damage is (so far) completely unavoidable. The figure that successfully MCed the opposing figures has to take it and nothing will reduce it. I'm half surprised that there wasn't a feat with this Prof that allowed him to ignore feedback damage. I figure if they ever give a defense to said damage it will be in a feat card.
