Deadpool was bleeding. That was nothing new.......but it wasn't stopping. Wade looked over at AJ and tried to keep his wound hidden from her. As he looked over at Snowbird he couldn't help but notice she still hadn't moved from Pestilence's last attack. Her last form had been a polar bear when Pestilence had attacked her, when she had fallen down one of her claws had broken off.........it was almost he size of a small dagger. But it seemed to pulse with energy. As Deadpool started to move towards Snowbird he kept his wound hidden from AJ.

"Red, cover Walter, Kyle and Northstar. I'm going to check on her."

AJ was still looking for her next opening after destroying one of the skeletal warriors already.

"Sure, Wade."

Jean-Paul could see Pestilence coming around the corner he was about to head him off when one of the skeletal warriors blocked his path. But Kyle rolled around him and took off both of it's arms in a savage attack. The creature still stood but wasn't able to stop Jean-Paul from traveling.

"Walter! Must face the creature before he feeds again.....he seems to be growing stronger. Kyle, Walter, avec moi."

As he finished Northstar grabbed Kyle by the shoulder and started to head straight for his goal. As he approached he saw another skeletal warrior that was flanking his master. Changing his path he started to head towards his new goal......but Pestilence stuck out his arm in his path so quickly that it almost took Jean-Paul's head. As he and Kyle stated to skid past they were both scooped up by Walter as he leaped over Pestilence and rushed around the corner.

Walter looked concerned, "Are you guys OK?"

Kyle just nodded, he picked up a few scratches from the incident .......that still were not healing ........but he seemed to be well enough. Jean-Paul was trying to catch his breath as he used Walter to help him from falling over.

"Mon dieu, he is getting stronger. He almost took my head off,"

Walter was even more concerned but he would come up with something.

As Wade scooped up the giant claw and put it in one of his harness pouches he heard Walter over his comm "Wade, he's getting stronger. I think I can figure something out but I'll need you to get his attention, can you three do that?"

Wade was already starting to sling Snowbird over his shoulder, "It doesn't look good, Furball. The woman in blue is out cold, she took a direct hit from that thing and AJ won't last long enough to help me out if she gets close.............and my healing factors on the fritz." Wade took a look at AJ and thought about what would happen if Pestilence got his hands on her, "Walt, I'll think of something. I'll let you know when I'm in position."

As he finished Snowbird started to move on his shoulder and suddenly became alert, "I am ready to continue, you will not face this challenge alone brave and knobble one."

Wade started to laugh, "Brave and knobble? Wow, you must have been hit even harder than I thought you were."

As she stood up she started to change into her giant owl form.

Wade looked at the two skeletal warriors in their path, " Hey Red can you do something about them?"

As AJ disintegrated the closest warrior Snowbird had already picked up Wade and flew through the pyrotechnics to reach their goal.

Wade was trying not to think about it............but one thought stuck with him 'This was going to su#k'

Turn 8

Robert attacks Deadpool. AV of 9 vs DV of 15. Needs a 6. Rolls a 5. Bah! Here comes the uber BCF again....

Note also that Moon Knight just got taken out in a single BCF attack (he rolled a 6). THe exact same thing happened to Black Widow last game, and both Moon Knight and Punisher in the game before that.

Yeah, Silver Sable's got some of the awesome in her............she might be a really good recruit for someone.

Meh, I'm sure by the time I get her, she'll have forgotton how to wield her sword with so such veracity. After all, good guys generally don't ram their swords right through their opponents, but while she's a baddie, she's got free reign.
