Hawkeye rapidly shifted gears. He had been about to deliver a kick at the winged monstrosity that had meant to gut the archer, but a shapely feline humanoid had approached quickly and cut it down with her claws. "Thanks," Hawkeye said, hardly taking the time to appreciate her whip. He whirled and aimed at the other harpy. <THIP> His razor-sharp arrow cut the air and just caught the beast's shoulder. It screeched in pain and fell writhing to the ground, where it stayed -- unconscious.

Iron Man took one glance at the tough skin of the troll in front of him and knew he'd need to increase the yield of his repulsors. He made a quick adjustment and fired. <SKRAAAK> The Rock Troll grunted in irritation, but didn't seem very hurt by the formidable blast.

WCAvengers turn 4b

Hank found himself surrounded by aggressive trolls and a hideous monster. He knew that he and his teammates -- along with the heroic knights of darkness -- were vital in keeping these horrid beings away from the good Doctors Strange and Fate, so that the latter could work their hopefully healing magics. Ant-Men decided to send his insect friends against the monster near him. His ants crawled and flew into the monster's eyes and mouth, biting and bothering the behemoth. Gelonus bellowed in anger.

whew! i'm relieved Puck/Rock Troll missed!... And you're right, Ulik should still have that HO; but i don't see how both Oberons/Rock Troll Elders could make attacks. One of them moved to K16 in your turn 4a. The recap doesn't reflect that, i know... the recap has him still at F13....

I hope you did well on your tests and complete your analysis. I'm sorry if i pressured you, Kasz. I have an idea of how it can feel to have multiple assignments all crashing in at the same time.

WCAvengers turn 5b

"Keep the pressure on, Avengers!" Iron Man shouted above the din. In spite of his exhortations, the Golden Avenger was trying to see how Hank was faring, as well as giving a boost to Wanda's efforts. Iron Man could hear -- but not see -- a couple of the trolls coming through the wrecked wall in the next room. Trying to concentrate on the task at hand, Iron Man again fired his repulsors and hit the Rock Troll in front of him. The rays hit true and seemed to slow the troll a bit more.

Wanda watched with amazement as the huge frame of an enormous troll stepped through the hole in the wall. Its shoulders brushed the edges of the gaping hole and dust rose about his feet. The Scarlet Witch said to herself, "Let's help them bring the house down if that's what they want." She activated her mutant hex power and suddenly pieces of the house began to fall around the head and shoulders of the troll. The first few fragments were small and did no harm, but soon a large chunk fell right onto the troll's head and addled him somewhat.

Hawkeye, for his part, drew up alongside the Scarlet Witch and thought to himself, "Man, these things are ugly; and I thought staying behind on guard duty would be boring!..."

Out of the cloud of flying ants, a huge, stony mitt appeared and walloped Hank into next week. "Ugggh," Ant-Man groaned quietly, and he tried to gather his wits. He mentally flailed about with his cybernetic instructions, but his ant-friends could not slow his assailants.

"Hank!" shouted Iron Man. The Golden Avenger had seen Ant-Man get hit, but there was little to be done about it. With the troll in front of him, and two more in the next room, Iron Man was tied up for the time being.

Hawkeye, for his part, saw an opportunity. "Nice witchcraft there, Wanda," he said to the Scarlet Witch. "Let's see if I can add to that guy's pain," the archer siad and let an arrow fly. It arced through the narrow space between the Scarlet Witch and Manhunter and struck the huge rock troll in the abdomen solidly. "KRKRRR," grunted the troll, and he slowed his advance throught the debris a bit.
