I like it when that happens. When you are going to have side kicks or teen heros (Robin, Super Boy, Patriot, Kid Flash etc...) I like the idea of having the young hero take over eventually, its how you progress those characters and allow them to grow. I've said on here many times that 1) I want to see Bruce Wayne die and #### Grayson take over as Batman and 2) That Marvel missed a HUGE oppertunity with the New Mutants, it would have been great to see.....Nightcrawler die and Xaiver promote Cannonball to the X-Men. Hopefully they can do that down the road with the New X-Men and the Young Avengers.
Well, to each his own. I've made no secret of the fact, I don't care for a number of the rewrites that went on to try and update Marvel's heros (Iron Man in the Gulf War, Avengers in the modern era with Rick Jones watching Fear Factor on TV when Cap is revived, etc).
Conan is still getting new stories written about him, and still going strong after 70 years. #### Tracy still gets stuff sold 70+ years later. Flash Gordon still sells books 70-80 years later, Tarzan still works as John Clayton 80+ years later, etc.

He's so bad, he mak'a me mad

Again I think those are needed. The X-Men just had their orign re-told to take place in the 80's. If the Avengers still found Captain America in the 60's he'd be what, 60-70 by now? Same if Tony was making weapons for the Vietanm war, and in 20-30 years he would have made weapons for Iraq war etc... Thats just a logic thing
Theres only one Return, and it ain't of the King, its of the Jedi.
One writer on two Avenger comicbooks could probably silent those who are complaining of Marvel's continuity problem.
Sure would.
Well, except that the writer who is on both of the books would be the guy who can't seem to remember little things like Sauron not breathing fire, and they'd still have the editor who doesn't bother to check anything before printing it.

Everyone would agree here that Bendis is a good to great writer, it all comes down to the the team rosters and the chemistry that will be developed along the way.
No, not everyone would agree to that.
Bendis is great with characters. He's got characterization nailed, and he usually does a stellar job with dialogue. But, even then, he often drops the ball with characters he hasn't created (ie: Ultimate Spider-Man).
Disassembled, for instance, sucked. It sucked because most of the characters were acting out of character (not unlike Millar's work on Civil War). And then, it was all written off as Scarlet Witch playing with reality which, quite frankly, is a cop out ending.
And, while he can do a tremendous job with characters he's intimately familiar with, he can not write a big action story to save his own life. And quite frankly, at some point in comics, you're going to have to be able to write the big action stories. Otherwise, you wind up with guys like Sentry (who, by the way, Bendis has never written well in New Avengers) who are all talk and no action.

Switch Ares and Thor I think and add Wasp to Mighty.
Thor is expected to join Cap's side during Civil War. So having him on Cap's team would make sense..unless Steve is in the Iron Man suit.................

No, that's feeling the need to have it all work out okay.
Comics don't have to make perfect logical sense. They're comics, the characters themselves defy logic (I mean, a guy with a magic hammer that can do pretty much anything, or a little green ring that can cruise space and fight galactic wars pretty much nix logic).
Moving Iron Man out of the cold war basically null and voided much of his character.
20 years from now, when it's updated again, no one will understand why Titanium Man or Crimson Dynamo are his enemies, as there is no communist USSR anymore.

Ares was the main guy they mentioned during the Mighty Avengers article and they said that he would fight Thor so I figure Thor is on New and Ares is on Mighty. Frank Cho is drawing Mighty and he was saying how he changed him a bit for the book.
Might Avengers
Captain America
Thor
Wolverine
Black Widow
Luke Cage
Falcon
Do I have any of these wrong, and who am I missing?
Cho also said there were going to be plenty of female avengers on Mighty, so I'd rethink half of the team. I believe I read that on newsarama.
"Come on Hulk! Where's the old boasting? The battle cries? Why aren't you bellowing about how you're 'the strongest one there is'? Could it be because... you know it's not true?"
"No. Because it's just too obvious."
-Juggernaut to Hulk

Egads, you're right! The teams should probably be switched around, Cap's group being the NA, and Iron Man's being the Mighty. Cho also discussed how he really didn't want to do Iron Man, because of all of his armors. But after some advice, he was ok with it. Seems to me that Iron Man will be switching in and out of his armors.

He will have it on his helmet. This was specifically mentioned.
Like a Trojan Helmet? (pause fo bad pun)
I think that could be cool as long as he has a mohawk.
Now all we need is a mulletted supehero and we're good to go!
The other villian is Ultron, Bendis let that go in an interview last month. He said a big metal robot is all that advanced anymore. By todays standards cutting edge technology involve's genetic mainuplation, cloning, etc... and that elements of those forms of technology are going to be introduced into the Ultron character.
Clone Wolverine or Luke Cage skin over an Ultron Skeleton !
