As andrew mentioned, the current version is in "Beta". As we get input from the community, we'll be adjusting it accordingly. Some of the things that you mentioned (double drop-down; set-> figure) will have to be rewritten.
As for the Team Builder, that will probably come after the Inventory and "Trade Maker" tools.
I would like to thank andrew for all his work; I can honestly say that he went above and beyond in doing this, and deserves a big round of applaus!
Thanks for the hardwork. Unfortunately, none of it works for me. Is it because I'm using Firefox? When I click at the link I just get alot of programming code...if you want to read what I see I could send it to you in a pm or something..don't wanna clog up this thread with it. Thanks again for your work!
Heroclix 5th Anniversary: Expect Nothing...you won't be as disappointed that way.
Yes.... I'm eagerly looking forward to the addition of the comments section... will you keep the old comments in too?
Those were helpful, and it means everyone doesn't have to go through all the figures reviewing 'em again....
Otherwise, great work.
It would be a shame to lose all of those old comments... or on the other hand it might be good. Most of the comments were written with the old rules in mind, so some figs that use to only deserve a 3 would now deserve at least a 4 (V Psylocke for example). Also, the old ratings had way too much inflation on them. The average for a figure should be 3, and there really shouldn't be all that many 5s out there. If it restarted, we might be able to guide people into self-moderation, and the ratings would actually be more useful. The rounding could also be done differently, so its not always rounding up.
But we would lose the lukebuchan constrictor comments...
I use I.E. at work and the units section works fine here. A couple suggestions though:
- Add a [reset] or [clear fields] button
- On VS it'd be awesome if we could remove figures after we get to the comparison page.
Looks great! I was pleased to see the pop-up 'tooltips' text for the powers works in Firefox. (Last I checked it still doesn't do that at WizKids figure gallery, only works in IE).
It appeared that the text for phasing didn't work though, but on checking further it is on selected figures that it didn't come up. It wasn't showing when I point to the phasing clicks of the CD Supermen dials. And it doesn't work for Sinister Shadowcat/Sprite but does work for Universe and Xplosion Shadowcat.
Darl Phoenix only had one, very small, dial (the 1000 pts).
Maybe losing the comments would be a good idea ? How about a new function where you can "approve" comments, that way stupid "I rate Icons Supes 1 because he's abused" ratings wouldn't make it...
How about a new rating scale ? Maybe there are too many 5s because it IS five ! You could make a new scale, and explain very well what it means, with examples. For instance, on a scale of 10 (fast, rough version) :
10 = very efficient figs, the absolute best in their cost range (Icons Supes V, Emerald Empress V, Blackfire V...)
9 = very good figs, just next to the best (Ultimates Thor, Kingdom Come Flash, R Black Panther...)
7-8 = good, reliable figs (Ult Hawkeye Vet, E Mockingbird, R Shaman...)
5-6 = average figs, playable but not necessarily game-winning (Luke Cage, Sub-Mariner, Kraven...)
3-4 = just not good enough (Banshee, Moonstar...)
2 = very, very bad figs ; second only to Contrictor in badness (Mr Hyde, Boom-Boom, Nightmare...)
1 = the worst ever : Contrictor (reverse the scales for LukeBuchanan)
What do you say ?
