Man that was hilarious, the most moronic thing ever saying Cap would surrender is like saying Homer Simpson doesnt have a wife three kids and emotional problems. Did anyone else notice that Tony was acting alot like Lex Luthor? He is the fricken President! Are they gonna rip off the Superman Lex old freindship thing?
But soo much better that that was War Journal the first few issue tied with CW had its ups and downs But #4 was fricken awesome spoilers
When I saw all those villians in the bar I was like where Frank with his M60 but no he poisend them hahahah that was the funniest thing ever. The final Panel at the end was awesome perfect Punisher.

Once again I say that I won't be completely happy until we've done every character in HeroClix.
Whicis odd since SHIELD is run by the UN and not the USA. But pppsshh whats continuity got to do with this mega-event.
Pssh. So Millar still has trouble picking out Ultimate and 616 continuity from each other...at least he -tried- by showing us (probably after those rewrite delays demanded by the fans) that the difference between Ultimate Cap and 616 Cap is that 616's cries.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

oh and another thing: he will NEVER surrender.
you don't get it he did not surrender because he was beaten, he did it because he relised that he was the bad guy, he was wrecking the american dream, being the supervillian

He should've realized THAT back when the guy from Yancy Street was killed, and Ben Grimm decided not to get involved in the war. Then he'd go back to his HQ and do what any leader does when his plans aren't working: change tactics.
Cap should've followed Spider-Man's lead, and taken his distaste for the Registration program to the public. Maybe read a quote or two from the program's directives and say 'I saw these same words once, in 1943. But they were written in German. What does that tell you?'

your right, he should have taken his gripes to the public, but he did not.
civil war could have been handled much better, but thats true of most of marvels work this last few years ... they put all off there best efforts into the ultimate line for the most part

???? hmmm
no the president made him head of shield.
and yes cap can be the bad, that's what made him stop the pointless war.
he disagreed with a law & instead of argueing his case he decided that he was better then the law and fought, when he looked around at normal people fighting him and saw that they had trashed midtown he saw he was heading down the path of super vililanry.
it does not matter if the law is good or bad, what matters is it was the law & he felt he was above it.

Yeah, you misread it. The President appointed Tony to the head of S.H.I.E.L.D.
You know what else bugged me? When Tony told "Deputy" Commander Hill to go get him some coffee.
What a punk.
LOL yeah but she kinda deserved it

Cap cried because be realized he had been wrong and that everything bad that had happened was his fault. He didn't cry because of bad writing. He cried because it was a huge event, and maybe the biggest mistake of his life. I think Civil War was brilliant. Apparently, I'm the one guy.
I recommend everyone read Civil War again. Like most of the big Marvel events of the past few years, it works much better as a novel than as individual issues--the opposite of Identity Crisis.
