Pretty much for the first time as otheriwse it is pretty hard to explain why the Avengers didnt go over there and end it in 10 seconds and then go back to their little civil war. Real life wars tend to be glossed over as it is hard to explain superowered heroes not affecting the war. Thus in DC for WW2 they gave Hitler a scepter which kept the jheores forom getting involved and Marvel didnt have as powerful of guys till the 60's (at least none that wernt retconned in)
Which is why i hate when they actually do mention real life wars. Atleast I do unless they come up with a proper plot device. I guess I could buy "Iraqi Mutants" stalled up a bunch of B-list Superheroes that haven't been used for a while. Then when Civil War came they all came back to the states to either help cap or by Tony's order.
Heh, that probably wouldn't of been a bad comic either. Eh well.

Silver Surfer's half....not so much. So Tenebrous and Aegis (or as I always affectionately call them T and A ) are punked. Galactus talks smack. Whoop de do. There has to be something else. If there isn't, it's a sad plot device used to further Annihilation only and that's something I didn't think Giffen would ever do. Anyway, Silver Surfer rustoleum covering gets cracked again luring T and A to "the Crunch" and seals them again....I guess. To be honest, it's not explained (to me) what exactly happened. Just that T and A are done for. Silver Surfer is fixed (again) and just like that Galactus is hungry again. The end.
So the good that was Firelord balanced with the carp that was Surfer....
Bring on Annihilation: Conquest and the Nova Weekly.
Why did Galactus revived Silver Surfer and removed his memories on how he defeated T and A? Does this tie to the continuity that a friend mentioned to me where Galactus didn't really grant SS the power cosmic and that Norin Radd always had it in him. The reason why Galactus didn't want Norin Radd to know was because he feared Norin's untapped power.
Can someone confirm this for me?

Yes... and No.... I think is the best way to answer that. Silver Surfer finds out the power cosmic has always been inside of him... well in the future. It's right before he becomes "The Keeper"
Which, technically is an alternate reality that won't happen... I wanna say because of Vance Atstro/vik. But then again that likely wouldn't change the fact that he's always had it since the alternate reality is branched off from the 616 from a point after Silver Surfer became a Herald of Galactus. But then again it's something I could see eaisly forgotten.

Not interesting at all. Slott already said the gloves are one set. He has one, she the other.
Says you. It's obvious that they're one set. What I'm interested in is the history of these items and how they came to be separated and owned by two different people.
Even in comic book world! I mean considering how much power one of those packs unless your fighting a real top tier guy who's also pretty wide mass wise your not going to be able to wrap both of those babies around one guy at once and have it do any good.
I mean... maybe the pair could be used as one when facing like... 2 fairly durable fairly big strong guys who liek to stand next to each other. (2 wrecking crew guys?) But even then... seems kinda wastefull.
