That's pretty much how I played him the first time (i.e. Sidekicked with Hulk ).
But last night, I wanted to play 2099 Bad Guys (so only 2099 figs) namely Doom, Pun' and Junkpile, (so yes, it was kinda a President Doom team ), I had a lot of points left (500 pts build total) and playing Hulk seemed weird (IIRC, he was killed by S.H.I.E.L.D., and Junkpile is affiliated S.H.I.E.L.D.); GR was the only choice left (I mean, he's pretty neutral - or did I miss something? I haven't read 2099 for quite a time ) and besides, I like the character a lot.
But 20 pts on Sidekick+Nanobots definitely seems a better investment than 20 pts on Camo+Auto-Regen.
